smallies24/7 Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Hey guys, Im looking to get another lipless crank rod but dont wanna spend the big bucks this time. I already have a reel picked out but I am still selecting a rod. Not trying to break the bank on this one, so I was looking at the Shimano Clarus reaction rod. The reviews seemed good enough and Shimanos warranty is pretty hard to beat, so what can you guys tell me about this rod? Especially if you have one. Always open to other suggestions, but i like the look of this one so just seeing what you can tell me. Thanks Quote
Super User Raul Posted December 27, 2013 Super User Posted December 27, 2013 I can´t say anything about that rod in particular, on the other hand, I own a couple of Clarus rods and I they are really good for the money. Quote

X2. I have an older 6'6" ML/F Clarus for small squarebills and it's a nice little rod for not a lot of money. Quote
TNBassin' Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Go with the Clarissa. Very nice rod for the money and it's backed with a lifetime guarantee. Quote
Loop_Dad Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I have Clarus cranking rod in MH. It is light and long. It sends my 3/4 oz lipless far more than required. Did I say it is light? Quote
