Problem is I don't have outdoor channel so extended cast is the only way for me to view it. To have it spoiled beforehand kinda sucks but I'll deal. Still a great program though

I agree it sucks to have it spoiled..Ill still get the extended cast when it comes out but that type of policy to keep ratings I dont think can work in the long run.

Yeah, I won't be paying for the extended casts. When they don't make it available for weeks or now even a MONTH after it airs on TV, I don't see a point in buying it. I know there is a lot more video available but I'm tired of the way these guys have treated their paying customers just because Outdoor Channel bought them out.

The first series was available before it aired on TV. The next season, it was the day after. Third season was two weeks after and they had a lot of customer complaints which made them move up the schedule. Now they won't air them until a month after? Are these people stupid? How much do they think they can screw over the paying customers before they lose business?

I'll just watch it on TV for free. Sure, I guess they probably get money from that as well, but I'm not paying my provider for the channel and I'm not giving them my money when they don't want to listen to their customers.

I just read on their website that next year they'll be adding a couple tournaments, and interestingly enough, they're going to air the extended cast prior to them being aired on TV

Shelly is a cougar! When they are fishing nice warmer areas I think a swim suit would be more appropriate lol

I got kinda bored with the smallmouth fishing in Michigan. Techniques and bite that I just cant relate to living in the south.

I agree with you, but it's still way way way better than anything else on tv with all the reality crap they show now. I can't complain at all though my two favorites denny brauer and Edwin Evers won the last two mlf tournament. My favorite was when Denny won it, he smokes all those guys on flipping docks. The old man still had one last one in him ha.

Considering virtually every TV show on bass fishing seems to be filmed on four lakes in the southern United States, I'm sure you'll endure fine.

I finally saw my first MLF on the Outdoor Channel here. Loved it! I liked it even better than the Bassmaster series!

There are some great smallmouth fisheries in the south.  Two of them are close to me.  Lake Tenkiller and Lake Texoma.  I enjoyed this MLF and I'm glad Marty finally was able to see a smallmouth bite!

In fairness to MLF, they did have a tournament on Chautauqua Lake last year, though that was predominately dock-based large mouth bass fishing.

Here's a novel idea: Instead of another MLF in the south -- where we will all once again be entranced by flipping vegetation for several hours -- how about a tournament in the western United States? I'd like to see them try fishing deltas and lakes in California.

Couldn't agree more. I'd love to have them out to the Delta or Clear Lake... bonus would be I could see all of their spots and techniques. :photography-044:

The one thing I really like about MLF is the pure emotion of the fisherman. They let it all hang out. But you only see it on the "extended cast" programs.

I'd really like to see Dudley on MLF! How many other people feel the same way?

How about a tidal river Like the Potomac or tidal bay, like the Chesapeake? There are some stud bass in the mid-Atlantic, but we get overshadowed by the southern largies and northern smallies.

Or a New England lake like Candlewood, Lilly and Zoar, where you can catch monsters of BOTH species!

The season should cover north to south east to west if they truely want the number one angler. They will have to be proficient in all situations.

Spring - start in the south and progress north

Summer - start in the north and head midwest

Fall - Midwest

Winter - Cali

U guys completely by passed what I asked. Why not have Dudley on MLF? He's Awesome! It would be cool to see how the other guys do against him.

Dudley would be interesting.  Stop by the introduction page and introduce yourself when you get a chance.

I'm not sure if that was a nice way of saying I interrupted u. But I don't see an intro pg. Let me know where to look and I will. As I understand it. I am to start on the topic I am interested in. If one already exists. To keep things organized. Did I miss something?

Sorry man. I wasn't meaning to be rude.  Sometimes I have a problem typing what's in my head.  It has never been my strong suit. LOL Just go to the main forum page and click on introductions and tell us a little about yourself.
