airborne_angler Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Does anyone know anything about these? My understanding is they are a vintage design. Made of Cedar, flat sided, with a coffin shaped medium length diving lip. Does anyone recall the diving depth on these? When were they produced? Quote
Super User CWB Posted December 24, 2013 Super User Posted December 24, 2013 I do seem to remember these but can't offer much help. They do sound similar to Poe's RC1 and 2. I was going through my pile of "hasn't been used in a while" stuff and found 3 of these. They say 4-5 feet deep. Coffin lip and a rattle. Used to catch quite a few on the RC1. Funny how you stray away from baits that work in pursuit of new ones that might work. Quote
airborne_angler Posted December 24, 2013 Author Posted December 24, 2013 Might be different than mine. Mine are made of Cedar and have no rattle. Quote

BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 24, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 24, 2013 Yup. I have a couple of them. They go about 7'-8' deep. They came out in the early 90's ('91, I think). Quote

I agree, it sounds very much like the old Poes cedar flat sides, they were the first flat side baits I ever used and were killer in spring. Quote
Super User Catt Posted December 25, 2013 Super User Posted December 25, 2013 Redo, google bass fishing archives! What I gathered they were made by someone else & sold by Norman. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 25, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 25, 2013 Yes, they're like the RC1 and RC3 design, but bigger. Think RC5. Quote
