Tugmaster Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I ordered a bunch of stuff from Tackle Warehouse last week, including 4 different packs of Trickworms. Well, my package showed up today and I noticed two of the packages were marked "original" and two were marked "extra salt". What's the difference between the two? Will they fish different? I would assume the extra salt will sink faster. Thanks, Todd Quote
5fishlimit Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I believe that the originals will float. I only have the salted variety so I may be wrong. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted December 24, 2013 Super User Posted December 24, 2013 the ones labeled original don't have salt. the ones labeled "extra salt"...have salt. Quote
Arv Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 ^ What those guys said. Salt = sinking, no salt = floating. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted December 24, 2013 Super User Posted December 24, 2013 The Original Zoom Trick Worms are advertised as floating worms, but are not even neutrally buoyant but sink of their own weight without a hook (test them at home in your sink) Adding salt to plastic increases its weight, so the more salt added, the faster the descent rate (think Senko). Got1Fishing Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 What RoLo said. I bought the originals thinking they would float, but they do I fact have salt, just not a lot. If you bite one in half you will taste the salt and see some in there. The originals have a slower sinking rate. 1 Quote
