Yeah I got everyone on my list a good gift.. and my dad is going to get a brand new froggin setup (he has never frogged) loves topwater.. so he is going to love froggin... anyway on to the naughty part..

I have spent alot of time mulling over it.. and have decided to join the darkside.. yeah I am selling my duckett and getting a dobyns rod to replace it..

First line of business will be a 734FH Champ (oooh ... AHHHH) and I think I may just bite on the coalition 40% off deal and get... well not sure yet.. either a 703 or a 704.. I think the 704 would be a more versatile bottom contact rod.. but the 703 would do well with spinner baits/chatterbaits/and flukes.. another arsenal rod I need..

hmmmm. any suggestions?

and Merry (early) Christmas to you all.. and may the bait monkey not knock too hard on your shoulder like it did me this season!

Ha I did the same thing. Got myself a 705cb glass and got my dad a 705cb + speed spool. Its hard to resist that team pro on tw for 200. :)

I would go 704 unless you already have a few rods in that power.

Get the Champion model for bottom contact, and get the Coalition for moving baits

x2, the Champion is an excellent bottom contact rod. You won't be disappointed.

I typically throw 1/4 to 3/8 oz T-rigs and need a rod for that.. and also a rod for 3/8-3/4 jigs... I mostly pitch to docks and laydowns fishing 4-18ft.

I also have a rod currently that covers (Swim jigs, Traps, Crankbaits) and love that rod so much I will just buy more of it... Things needed eventually are a

Fluke/senko rod

a spinning shakyhead rod

a flipping stick for seminole

a c-rig rod

so what I have considered is a 734C FH ..or 735C FH...CHAMP

A coalition ... either a 703 spinning or the 704

and a savvy either the 703 spinning.. or a 765 FLIP

I can basically afford a champ a coaltion and a savvy right now...
