Any 1 Having Problems Finding A Fishing Pal???????

ive been having a very hard time for a while getting buddys 2 go fishing,boating,atving,hunting,shooting with me..i tell them just show up,ill put up everything, boat,truck gas,food,bait rods u name it,dont even bring a dollar in ur pocket n 4 some reason or other every 1 bail out on me..im really sick of it honestly..( whats going on)?,if some 1 offered me a deal like that id be the 1st inline,does this only happen 2 me or 2 others in this forum?....

This has happened to me on a few occasions. I've even offered to pay for a fishing permit! There's been several times I've just went by myself it's still a good time but I like to have people around to talk to and share the experience with. If you were closer I'd take ya up on the offer lol

My advice to you, is hang out on this site more often, and get to know the guys. Especially local ones. I have been very fortunate, and have met and fished with several guys on here that I can call my friends. Over time you will meet new people and make new friends. Best of luck.

Yeah I guess some people think there's better things to do (absolutely crazy I know) that's part of the reason why I got on here. The learning is a big plus but so is getting new fishing buddies!

Man take a trip up north and ill be right along with you!!! If you are ever in the Jacksonville or Orlando area Send me a message I'd love to get out on a boat and do some fishing. If course I would throw money down I would not feel comfortable not doing so

to me fishing is about getting out and fishing and not socializing.  I invite people to go but it doesn't change whether i go out or not.  I figure if they want to go then they will join me.  Now i do enjoy fishing with my dad when i get the opportunity because, let's face, dads aren't around forever but for the most part I am perfectly content to be out fishing by myself and sometimes i actually enjoy it more

I'm always up to meet people and love learning to fish. Met one guy here on the forum and been out a couple times with him. Nice guy and have had fun. What lakes you fish at? I'll be ready to hit the water after the first of the year.

If you fish the tournaments or get togethers, you will start to meet the guys. Also, a lot of guys like to fish alone to get away from the busy routine, and wife and kids for a few hours.

Don't take it personal if folks don't take you up on your offer.

I found that there are a ton of people who I consider friends who just don't think of fishing the same way I do.  When I offer to go fishing they know it's not going to be the classic HBB (Hook, Bobber and Beer) so they generally don't want to go.  For me it was bass clubs and this forum which has gotten me around people who enjoy fishing the way I do.

 

If I were closer I would be there too.  I would even cover my share of expenses.

I have been blessed with meeting several from this site and have been blessed with fishing with a couple of them , quanjig and Zoff and Traveler , have all shared their boat with me , all of them were a great learning experience and moments I will never be able to forget .

I prefer to be alone when I'm doing serious fishing.  The only time I want a partner is offshore, it can take 2 people to land some of these fish.

I really enjoy fishing with someone, who enjoys fishing as much as me. I bank fish alone the majority of the time, and I prefer that because I only bank fish for 2 hours at a time when I can. I treat that as my me time. However, when I go out on my boat, I like to fish with someone. Extra hands, and someone to chat with every once in a while.. LOL... is nice.

Help launching and loading is where its at for me lol.  Those extra hands really help and with my pos trailer I'll take it anytime. 

 

Fishing alone can be a form of meditation, but I hear what your saying.  Sometimes you feel awfully alone out on the lake by yourself.

Nope , If I were to post , I wanna go fishing or I have an open seat with a description , I bet I would have a seat filled or someone to fish with from this site .

 

Friends not from this site want to go places and fish almost all the time , if I had the money , I would come down there and share a seat with you for sure , I love to learn and I love to fish , especially LMB , I have an open invite from several here , anytime , I just don't have the funds , it's defiantly awesome to have the friends for sure !!!

Not a bad partner to have !!  I love having mine along but the conditions have to be just right for her to be comfortable and then she will fish most all day , she will sacrifice though , gotta love her for the effort !!

Not sure how much your into it but joining a bass fishin club will give you a bunch of fishing partner leads.
