Awesome. haven't seen those before but i can't see how it works since it uses a prop but it obviously does lol Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 21, 2013 Super User Posted December 21, 2013 It's a jet drive. No prop. (null) Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted December 21, 2013 Super User Posted December 21, 2013 It's a jet drive. No prop. (null) take a look at the pics...i thought it was a jet at first too. something about how the hull design pushes water up and through the prop but the boat is essentially on top of the water and not plowing through it. BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted December 21, 2013 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted December 21, 2013 http://www.flatscat.com/performance2a.htm Click on the Demo's. It is amazing how it works. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted December 21, 2013 Super User Posted December 21, 2013 I have the boat I always wanted but if money was no object I would have one of these too.. http://www.flatscat.com/specifications.htm runs in 3.5 inches of water. Awesome. I get how verstile this would be for shallow water. My question is how does it get back on plane from a stop in 3.5" of water? Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted December 21, 2013 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted December 21, 2013 It takes 6" to take off. Crazy. Quote
JCiurej34 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 I'd get a Legend Alpha 211 like this one. 1 Quote
BuckMaxx Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 There are a lot of boats that come to mind. I like the older ones like the late 90's Gamblers that were the sportscars of the era. I would probably build a big shop and become a rescue for old bass boats. I mean what the hell they got em for horses. haha I like the new boats they are very nice but the pricetag turns me off! I have decided to keep my 92' Ranger and deck it out with all the fancy stuff the new ones have like great electronics power poles etc. When the motor craps I 'll buy a new motor for it. As long as the hull is good. Quote
Super User Nitrofreak Posted December 22, 2013 Super User Posted December 22, 2013 With a name like Nitrofreak I wouldn't expect anything less So , you sayin I'm simply predictable ?? LOL !! Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 22, 2013 Super User Posted December 22, 2013 Tunnel hulls also create a mass of water between the pontoons that allow a prop or jet drive to work. One of the pics clearly shows a jet drive as well. There's usually a hydraulic jack plate on them too. Quote

Super User Dwight Hottle Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 Might be cheaper to rent that second one when your available than buy it. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 Might be cheaper to rent that second one when your available than buy it. Yea but I still plan on hitting the lottery. $568 Mill can buy one of these measly $18 mill boats no problem! Jeff Quote
