So a cautionary tale...  I decided to put together a fishing grab bag for my dad for Christmas and picked up some trusty tools for his Elite 7 HDIs, rod gloves, and last but not least "The Bait Bar" (mount under storage lid and can hang spinnerbaits, plastics, etc)..  Well, I placed the order on Nov 25, didn't hear anything from the company until I sent an email and didn't receive a response, but I did receive an email from PayPal saying that my package was on the way..  I checked the USPS tracking info for several days and all it would say is "electronic shipping info received" meaning I guess they printed a label but hadn't dropped of at post office.  After two additional emails that were unreturned I finally opened a dispute with PayPal requesting a refund from the company.  I did this on December 12 and I haven't received any communication from the company to date - I checked the tracking number today and the package was dropped at the facility on December 13, interesting..  Supposedly it should arrive tomorrow, I am not an impatient man, but I am not impressed with this company and this transaction. 

 

On a more positive note...  I purchased a KVD cranking rod from Tackle Warehouse a week before they offered 20% off everything on their site.  I emailed them and they responded by offering my a gift certificate for the 20% difference - needless to say I was very impressed and appreciative! 

 

So, my wife always says we should talk about someone doing something right, not always about doing something wrong...Does anyone have similar experiences they can share...

I have ordered from TW a few times, but never during Christmas.  I've never had any problems at all.

If the point of this was to show how much of a whiney, impatient, person you are..................well done sir...well done :clap: Actually you did give me a newfound respect for TW.............I would have probably just hung up on you and then mockd you amungst my fellow co-workers. ...............it takes some nerve to call a business and cry about getting an item for a lower price that you bought before it went on sale.

USPS tracking sucks sometimes. I've bought and shipped items and they do not get delivered as stated initially by the tracking number. The actual updating system can also be unreliable. I've shipped things and the website will not update from "accepted/processed" until it is out for delivery. Other times it works perfectly. That may not make you feel any better, but that has been my experience on a couple of occasions in the past. With all that said, the items have always been delivered safely and unharmed.

To say the least I wasn't expecting the harsh tone...  I simply intended the post to be informative and didn't intend to sound "whiney" - that being said we can't control how others respond ..  only how we respond..

I knew somebody that ordered a rod from BPS and after a longer than normal delivery time he got them to send another rod, then the one that was originally ordered came shortly after    :whistle:

kwhorne....I have order from TW many times. I once got the wrong product and all it took was a phone call. They said they would send the product right away and for me to keep the item they messed up on. I know it does not cost as much as your purchases, but TW has a pretty good reputation. I'm not question, but just asking, how come you didn't just call their customer service number? Yes I know they should have responded right away through email as well but sometimes it's just better giving a phone call. I have gotten emails from then within a day so I am not sure why they would stall this time. That is not professional.

 

Also just about all bigger stores/shop offer price adjustment within 14 days of purchase if the item you bought goes on sale. That's just proper business. If they didn't all the buyer would have to do is return the item and then buy new ones. This doesn't help both parties out. Also I didn't find your post as whiney.

 This first issue is with the actual company or product "The Bait Bar" - I may not have been completely clear with my post..  I wanted to let everyone know that I had a GREAT experience with TW and was very impressed with them..  The first time I actually ordered from them UPS "lost" the shipment and TW was great to deal with then and that's why I started doing business with them...

USPS tracking says it was delivered this AM at 1130 - hopefully this dead horse is beat
