Super User SirSnookalot Posted December 14, 2013 Super User Posted December 14, 2013 Not the best season I've had, but not focusing too much on bass. What little freshwater I'm doing now is looking for peacocks. 1 Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted December 14, 2013 Super User Posted December 14, 2013 No complaints....I'm getting to fish and it ain't been bad. 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 15, 2013 Global Moderator Posted December 15, 2013 We've been catching them pretty good at the power plant lakes when the weather lets us get out. 1 Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted December 15, 2013 Super User Posted December 15, 2013 I had a very good season so far. Yesterday was a very good day! I'm in north florida so it gets cold here. We've had a few cold days and yesterday was warm and the fish were on fire when I went out. Next week is suppose to be in the 60s early and 70s later in the week so hopefully I will be able to get out some. Christmas week I plan on doing a lot of fishing hopefully Santa can bring me some good weather and some good fishing... but that may be when it starts to get winter cold here hope not 1 Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted December 16, 2013 Super User Posted December 16, 2013 Spring, and summer were not the greatest for catching bass. I spent a lot of time fishing with my daughter for panfish. I missed most of the fall because of work. I was hoping to get out over the Christmas holidays and do some fishing, but unless it starts warming up, that ain't going to happen. 1 Quote
Super User geo g Posted December 16, 2013 Super User Posted December 16, 2013 Numbers have been good for the last few months. Size is coming out to play the past two weeks. I love living in South Florida! 1 Quote

aceman387 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Any way we can ban these Florida guys from posting for the next 2-3 months. 4 Quote
Super User geo g Posted December 19, 2013 Super User Posted December 19, 2013 I used to live in Ohio and NJ, that why I move to the tropics 43 years ago, winter fishing is off the chart! 1 Quote
bassr95 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Here in northern IL, i've been on the ice since thanksgiving! Mostly chasing panfish, but some days you cant keep the smaller bass off your jig! 1 Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted December 22, 2013 Super User Posted December 22, 2013 Any way we can ban these Florida guys from posting for the next 2-3 months. LOL ... I feel ya. I have a few friends on Facebook which make it worse when they post pics by the minute. They are talking about the spawn already in the Orlando area. I hate them so much right now (not really ... lol) Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted December 22, 2013 Super User Posted December 22, 2013 Not to rub it in, but the bass fishing in South FL is really starting to pick up and will be picking up steam for the next several months. If you northern guys ever get the chance to come down here to fish, you will really enjoy yourself. I know Dwight comes down here often. He can definitely attest to what I am saying. 2 Quote
kickbasskid Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Was tearing it up today on a chartreuse colored weedless jig! Caught 3 bass in 3 casts at my local pond. After fishing for about 30 minutes ended up with a record of 2 1/2 pounders and 2 1 pounders! I wish the weather was like what it was today all week! 1 Quote

Super User BassinLou Posted December 29, 2013 Super User Posted December 29, 2013 We caught over 45 bass yesterday out in the Glades. Mainly on frogs. Unfortunately, they are still on the small side but if they can handle a frog they are good enough for me. 1 Quote
aceman387 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I caught and released, I mean I bought and drank a six pack of Guinness after i cleaned the driveway and spread some ice melter down. 1 Quote

Haha sounds like a good day though man! Congrats! 1 Quote

Thanks man, no ice pick needed, but we did need eyes on the back of our heads towards the end of our day though. The gators were getting a little too close sometimes with all the fish commotion. Super User SirSnookalot Posted December 30, 2013 Super User Posted December 30, 2013 Luckily I'm still catching some saltwater fish, which is always priority #1 for me. I'm only fishing for peacocks and they are not easy to find in Delray, but they are here. The bass I'm catching are pretty much bi products of my attempts at peas. 1 Quote
