Im getting one next season as a backup for other setups.  It will be for general purpose but so you know i throw a lots of spinnerbaits, cranks, and texas rigs.  I would like to know what rod you have yours paired with not only for performance but also for cosmetics.  Thanks in advance!

Well, I've got 4 Pfluegers now so several rods!

President XT 25 size on a 2 Piece 5'6" Light Ugly Stick.  It's my creek fishing beater rod.  Its the one piece of fishing equipment I'd get really upset over if it were to get lost or broken.  I've had it 10 years and it's held up amazingly well.

Trion 30 Size on a Daiwa Procyon 7 Med. Light.  It's my wife's rod.  She doesn't go out with me much, but the rod and reel look great together.

President 30 Size on the Pure Fishing Pflueger Combo rod.  6'6" Medium.  It's my dropshot rod.  It looks great.  Blue/silver on blue/silver.  That rod, even though coming as a cheaper combo, is amazing.  Great feeling and weight.

Supreme 30 Size on a Fenwick Smallmouth.  6'9" Medium.  It's a light/small crank rod for me.  I fish small topwaters and weightless plastics on it too.

I just got rid of a President XT and Supreme XT not too long ago.  Both sized 35 I think.  They were a bit too heavy and didn't balance well on the rods I had.

I have a 6930 size on a St. Croix Premier 7' ML/F rod for drop shot fishing.

It works for me and the days I'm on Lake Erie getting after the smallies.

If I ever find myself "needing" another spinning reel I have no reason to consider anything but another President. Terrific reel for a great price IMHO.

My 6935 is on one of my rods (I'm too lazy to go down cellar and look) that's 6'6", medium power and fast action which I use as an all-purpose outfit.

Had my president 6930 on a 7' medium fast Bionic Blade until I broke the tip trying to free a lure. Dumb mistake by me, but I'm probably going to mount it on a Phenix Recon 692 soon. I throw weightless finesse plastics, shaky heads and the occasional drop shot with mine.

Well, let me think here.  I have four Patriarch baitcasters, plus two Patriarch, two President, and two Trion spinning reels.  I'm also too lazy to tell you which rod they are paired with.  I remember that I have one President mounted to a St. Croix Avid 6'6" M/F.

I have the older President 6735 with the wooden handle grip. Mine is on an even older Ugly Stik Lite Pro (blue reel on blue/black rod, both with gold accents). It's my loaner rod for when friends go and don't have a rod, but I'm also thinking of getting one of the newer President reels for an old Quantum Dance Class rod, also blue, for myself to use. No real need since I already have a Shimano Symetre on that rod, which is a super nice reel. But I'm moving away from Shimano now so I may sell it. Nothing at all against the Symetre, but I just think FOR ME that most Shimano reels made to the level of refinement I'd like are just too expensive to allow for owning as many as I'd like. Not that I'd need 5 spinning reels but I could get 5 Presidents for the cost of 3 Symetres, just to show you what I mean. Sorry to get off track, but you know how it is, one thing leads to another.......

Long Mike likes his Pfluegers!

I only fish their spinning gear.  it's a shame, I've not giving their Baitcasters a sporting try.  I'm hung up on Lews.  They are seriously nice.

Lew's and Pflueger baitcasters are so similar inside mechanically the only real differences are minor body shape changes and logos outside.

I have 5 Pfluegers, 3 supremes, a medalist and an arbor of various sizes, hardly a day goes by I don't use one of them.  I catch bluegill to barracuda on them, perform at a level of reels I own that cost twice as much, only brand I have ever used that never has required anything but a drop of oil.

My pres is on a 6-1/2' med. fast rod.  Next to my old mitchell 300 it is the best spinning reel I have ever used.

Right now it sits in a box, with the drag backed off. I have the 6930, it was on an Abu Vendetta 6'9" ML spinning rod, and will either go back on that rod next spring, or IDK, something new and shiny...I might grab a Veritas spinning rod, or a new Fenwick Elite Tech Smallmouth rod.........IDK, I have all winter to decide. It's my 2nd President. I had one of the older 6735's with the wood knob, for many years, and wore it out. Not because it was junk, but because I used the heck out of it with ZERO maint. Since then I have had several Daiwa's and Shimanos that are/were in the Presidents price range, and after a few years, I have gotten rid of them, and went back to the President.

just got my first President today after all the reviews and posts touting it's quality.  6930 paired with a Fenwick HMG 7' Medium.  This set up was an upgrade from a $12 Rapala Nitro combo I used last season, so as you can imagine I'm the happiest person in the world right now and cannot wait for the ice to melt....in about 4 months.... :(

Mine's on the To Buy list for spring. It's going on a 6'6" M Vortex rod I picked up cheap at GM and together they will hopefully land a lot of fish for my 10-year-old. The colors are going to look just awful together; hopefully his mother still lets him out the door with a combo that clashes.

What do you guys think about the 6930 on a Shimano Clarus 2 piece rod? 7' M/F? I need a new rod for my new reel and must be 2- pieces because I put in in a book bag.

The only other 2-piece 7' M/F rod on TW was the Abu Garcia vengeance 2-piece rod for $30 less.

I love pflueger spinning reels.  My president is on a new daiwa cielo 6' 10" ml/xf.  This will be my drop shot set up.  I like my trion just as much as my president too.

I have two Presidents. One is on a St. Croix Mojo wacky rod the other is on a St. Croix Mojo power spin rod.

I'm using 10lb and 20lb Power Pro on them. Todd

I have a President on a Shimano Crucial that serves as my everyday in the Jeep setup.

Pflueger does not get enough love. Although I tend towards Shimano reels, I would not be overly upset if someone made me fish with Pflueger reels.

Supreme 25.........light Redbone, bass

Supreme 30.........M/L Clarus, bass

Supreme 35.........Med Calico Jack, bass and snook

Arbor 50...............MH Quantum Blue Runner, barracuda

Pfluegers, the most bullet free reels I have ever owned, none of them have ever needed service.

I'd be a buyer as long as they stay with a paddle knob,  do not like the knobs on supreme xt and patriarch, they are out of consideration for the time being.
