I love throwing weightless trickworms. They're a confidence bait that have worked in the ponds and small lakes i fish when nothing else was getting bit. I'm looking to upgrade some gear this winter, and I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a quality spinning rod for fishing these worms and baits of similar style. I want something really lightweight. Any ideas?

Thanks for the quick replies! Budget is probably up to about $250. I want something of good quality and I'm willing to spend a little more than I have previously to ensure that I get exactly what I want

Avids are great rods, if you are looking for a rod that is scary light and has surprising muscle, then try the Carbonlite's. They run for around $80-$100. With a no questions asked warranty for a year.

Denali Rosewood shakey head rod. It has a great backbone for driving the hook but enough tip to work the worm properly.

Has anyone used the Falcon T7 rods? I like the look of the 6'8" medium fast. And how is their warranty? I know St. Croix has excellent customer service, and as of right now I'm leaning in that direction (for the Avid)

I like Fenwick Smallmouth rods.  They look great and handle very well too.

For slightly less money than the St Croix Avid or the Denali, look at the Fenwick HMG graphites or the newer Aetos line.
