bmlum415 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I found a brand new in box shimano chronarch 101 D7 at a boat shop about 2 hours from my house today and just had to have it. Pretty excited to have this reel. It will be a nice addition to my shimanos.Does anyone know how long they were made for? 3 Quote
Super User S Hovanec Posted December 8, 2013 Super User Posted December 8, 2013 I love finding reels with the handle on the correct side! A few years back, I stumbled across a 301DSV on clearance for <$100 and a couple years before that, I found a Chronarch SF (the gold one) for <$90. Even though I'm a Shimano guy, I snagged a new Black Max for $15 today. I'm sure I'll figure out something to do with it. Quote

Super User .RM. Posted December 9, 2013 Super User Posted December 9, 2013 Chronarchs are very fine reels no matter to which series they belong. X2 To bad the D series reels were discontinued as fast they were introduced.... Quote
Grantman83 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Chronarchs are very fine reels no matter to which series they belong. This is true, but when you are used to the D series, you can see why there was major outrage when the Chronarch E was introduced. The topic has been discussed Ad Nauseam so I won't go further. By most accounts, the ci4 chronarch has brought some oomph back to the chronarch line. Keep that D close and don't let go lol Quote
