Super User .ghoti. Posted June 9, 2014 Super User Posted June 9, 2014 I got to try some Blue label yesterday for the first time and my uncle gave me a bottle of JW Gold Label reserve. Both are excellent but out of my normal spending range. A definite treat to say the least. I have about two inches left in a bottle of Blue. It's lasted me for almost two years. A special occasion drink for me. Just brought a bottle of JW Gold Resrve home from St Thomas, duty free. Haven't tried it yet. At the end of the spring semester, my graduating students bought me a bottle of Macallan 21. Very, very smooth and tasty. A new fav that I'm very much afraid is out of my price range. 1 Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I get one bottle of Essence du Borderies each year. My fav local wine merchant gets two cases each year, and one bottle has my name on it. Not cheap, but it's what Henessey wants to be when it grows up. I got the Hennessy Pure White that they dont sale in the states, apparently its only in the islands and on cruise ships. Its not bad at all, i like it. but i must be honest here, i never really tried any high dollar cognacs. nothing that costs more than Hennessy Privelege and thats about $70-80 a fifth Quote
