hey guys i'm new here, i looked around for a thread of this topic and couldn't find one so sorry if its already been posted..but i'm trying to figure out what colors you guys have the most success with when using plastics in a pond that has murky water..i have previously only used them in clear water down in florida and i found watermelon seed to work the best there, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've been told dark colors in murky water because the fish have an easier time seeing a shadow/silhouette.  Also, in murky water try something that makes a lot of noise such as a lipless crank or something that has a scent additive, such as Gulp.

Hope this helps.

Cheers and welcome aboard!

Welcome to the forum!

Muryk is a relative term depending where you are, but I use this rule of thumb:

In heavily stained/muddy water it depends on the sun.  If it is sunny I use brighter colors-whites, chartreuse, etc.  If it is cloudy I use darker colors like watermelon and green pumpkin.

Ditto, when in doubt: any color is fine as long as it is black.

Murky water is always a good time, thats mainly what I fish in.  When it is sunny out throw a brighter color like a bright yellow or orange.  And when it is cloudy throw a darker red/craw color.  These colors will work wonders for you.... Lipless crankbaits are the way to go! good luck
