Ya know , I thought I needed to get away from fishing and all aspects of it , it is driving me absolutly insane that I am not able to get out on the water , you have no idea how much fishing means to me and what it does for my soul ... well maybe you do .

Anyway , I finally had a chance , correction , I made myself take a break from everything and read my e-mails , most were from this site and the friends I have made over the years , it seems that no matter how stressful life gets , there is always an interesting read or something to learn in here , in here I find laughter , I find brotherhood , I don't see lifes problems , I see people trying to find little green fish , and having dicussions of lifes little journey along the way , I see waters that I will otherwise never see , I meet people that I will otherwise never see in person , Teachers , Dr's , Lawyers , Technicians of all kinds , Cooks , Pro's , and even a few squirrels who have lost their nutts are in here.

All in all , I find that sometimes we do need a break , but I have also found that there is no place like this place .

I'd say most of the squirrels haven't actually lost their nuts.  They obsessively stack them in very neat and orderly rows.

Thanks big guy !!

I found life to be more difficult without this place , honestly , even for the short amount of time , I honestly thought that if I get rid of everything fishing , I would not have to wonder , I wouldn't have it too miss or have the stress of not being able to fish get in the way of what I have going on.

PPPFFFFTT !!! That was a stupid move !!!

Welcome back nitro!  Bass fishing brought us here and the camaraderie keeps us coming back and tuning in every few minutes to see what's new. I can only imagine how fun the road trips must be. Makes me wonder if anybody gets any sleep on them...lol.

Welcome back.  I do wish it was a little earlier though so we could have talked about the redskins a little bit more but either way, I am glad you are back.

This is an interesting place for sure, i haven't been a member on here to long but long enough to know it is for the most part a great group of people and while i haven't met any face to face as of yet i wouldn't turn away fishing with anyone on here :)

most everyone has times in their lives when they have to put their hobbies and such on the back burner for awhile so they can tend to other things life is throwing at them. but i would like to think even in such times, you could probably find the time to fish a little bit. you dont have to wait for a big meet and greet, or you dont have to load up the truck and boat and drive a little ways to do it. and you dont even have to have the best of waters. take out a single rod and reel, a small tackle box with a few essentials, and go find yourself a local pond, river or creek man. you dont have to spend all day or a lot of money to do so. granted, i dont know your situation that is preventing you from fishing, but as long as your physically able to do im sure you could squeeze out an hour or two on the bank of a pond or something. sure, it doesnt seem as great as taking the boat out on a big lake for the day, but it will help the mental aspect of wanting to fish. one hour on the bank can help ones mind state more than you might think. again, im not sure what all you got going on in your life, so maybe im totally wrong and you dont have a spare hour on any given day...either way, welcome back to the site...

Hey, great to see you on the forum again.

Do you still live just off that exit in northern VA?  I go by there two or three times a year.  Once for the road trip, and a couple of times to visit our daughter in GA.

Someday, on a road trip, I may have to Shanghai you and drag you along.

You are so very right in the fact that a little fishing time would ease tensions , free the mind , calm the spirit , shucks , even getting the poles out to practice pitching does that and I could do it for hours and enjoy the heck out of it .

I won't go into details , but right now , there is just no way , for now this is my out  , this is my first step up a long flight of stairs , just being here talking about fishing , takes me to another place , I know that if I wanted too , I could open up and get responces from a great group of people that I know care a great deal about this community of ours , just as I do .

I would much rather laugh with you , joke with you , help you in some way to find fish if I can , I want you , all of you , to have the drive and determination to go out there with all the confidence you deserve .

Thanks Red , I appreciate it !!!
