BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 4, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 4, 2013 Hello, I just checked several accounts and it seems to be working fine. I think perhaps the confusion is that it may take 15 minutes or so for these items to show up in "my content", which relies on an index to be built before they show up in search results, Whereas "View New Content" is set to show instant results. That is why you're seeing the difference. Please check back later to see if all items are present. They should show up. If not, then I will need specific links to items not showing up to investigate further. Thanks! Glenn Quote
Brian Needham Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 These are the ones I know, or could easily find that do not show in "my content" thanks for your efforts Glenn http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127869-my-content-feature-not-working/page-2 http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127932-computer-shopping-need-some-help/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127876-jigs/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/124184-sec-sec-sec-sec-sec-sec-sec-sec-sec-sec/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127778-better-deal-versus-local-store/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127792-which-is-more-effective-in-your-opinion/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127922-duckett-casting-reels/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127859-hammer-rods/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127905-dx744-vs-dx784ml/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127712-dobyns-dx703c-or-g-loomis-mbr843c-glx/ Quote

Smokinal Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Try now. It should be fixed. I think you got it brother! Thanks for all you do! I felt bad complaining about such a trivial issue but it does make the forum more user friendly. I'll take this moment to thank you for creating such a great environment to discuss our passion. It's very friendly and comfortable here. I'd love to get together with some of you and fish. Thanks again. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted December 5, 2013 Super User Posted December 5, 2013 There was a database error causing the issue. It should be fixed now. It is on my end - Thank you very much. A-Jay Quote

BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 5, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 5, 2013 The Sphinx.conf file needed to be updated, however my host provider was not very helpful like they have in the past, so I switched it over to mysql queries instead. Quote

Didn't understand a word of that but THANKS! LOL you really took care of us even though it was a seemingly small issue! Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 5, 2013 Super User Posted December 5, 2013 Didn't understand a word of that but THANKS! LOL you really took care of us even though it was a seemingly small issue! What he's saying is he picked one of two different ways to "index" all the posts. Database indexes work just like an index of a book, except the posts are database records, not pages, and the book is constantly being written, and rewritten - meaning the index is always being added to. Does that analogy work? Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 5, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 5, 2013 Hey, you asked. 1 Quote
Brian Needham Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 yeap! I kinda sorta figuerd with the "queries" and all. I am not very computer literate I will admit, turn it on and browse the interwebs, email is about all I need or want to do. 1 Quote

Super User J Francho Posted December 9, 2013 Super User Posted December 9, 2013 Careful J your starting to hit close to home. You are at least on the route 90 corridor, and about an hour from Buffalo, so you have at least heard of modern things, such as indoor plumbing. 1 Quote
