Good point, the bigger the fish the more damage you can do wrenching their bottom jaw down too.

That is one of my biggest gripes with many of the fishing shows.  They jack a poor bass to horizontal by their jaw. 

 

It's bad enough that they engage in the practice, but to make it worse, they probably spawn many imitators.  Plenty enough time to admire a fish while you are unhooking it.  Once the hook is out, back in the water with it.

 

If you want a picture, have the camera ready, and take your photos as quickly as possible.  The only rule you should abide by is to get the fish back in the water as quickly as possible.  Unless you are planning to eat it.

When you take the fish up and out of the water........take a breath and hold it. ......I'm guessing that's kind of how the fish feels.
