Super User slonezp Posted December 1, 2013 Super User Posted December 1, 2013 My only input is not to limit yourself to BR sponsors. No argument they make quality products. There are a TON of other baits on the market that produce fish as well. 1 Quote
MIbassin Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Add a spook style bait to your topwaters 1 Quote
Tony L. Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I would most definitely add senkos to your soft plastic arsenal. They were by far my number one producing lure this year. Quote
Iluvsmallies Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 This is just the research that I done and came up with..... Would like to here other brands like I said I haven't anything but zoom, rapala, net bait products. I forgot to add senkos was definitely gonna get some what do you guys like? Quote
Iluvsmallies Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 I've never used a frog (except live) not saying I want Quote
michael68w Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 by the name I take it you're big into smallies( me too it's an addiction like no other) add any quality 3-5in grub ( kalins is a heavy favorite but there's plenty of other good ones) and the 3-4inch tube bait. I fish both of those in mostly clear water and I stick to a few basic colors variations of green pumpkin, pumpkin pepper, melon seed etc. I usually buy tubes from canyon plastics or the BPS tender tube. Grubs I get from kalins but I have had good luck with Yamamoto, big bite, BPS. Jigs I like Jewel bait co, but I really like California reservoir jigs or elk river. I don't have a lot of time with spinnerbait or buzz baits so I can't help much in that department. Shallow cranks I like the KVD 1.5 I also like Norman fat boys for the money. Live target is my favorite overall for hard baits. Quote
michael68w Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Anytime man! I'm by no means an expert on anything but I always try and help. Good luck to ya! Quote
olegs Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I would most definitely add senkos to your soft plastic arsenal. They were by far my number one producing lure this year. X2 Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted December 2, 2013 Super User Posted December 2, 2013 You might add blue/black, black, and orange/brown for colors. You also can't go wrong with baby brush hogs, and tubes for plastics. Quote
Iluvsmallies Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 Thanks a lot this is great feedback Quote
Missourifishin Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 You might want to try a couple of jerk baits. Quote
Iluvsmallies Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 Thanks Missouri ... Pick a spro frog. Some robo worms and a shakey head jig and worm..... Have a lot more to get Quote
annexation Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 If you want a killer soft plastic for dragging bottom in the shallows, I'd consider Yamamoto Fat Ikas and rig them backwards on a 4/0 EWG. After the results I got this season, I'll be buying baaaaaaags of them when the ice melts. Some green pumpkins and some blacks are all I need. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted December 3, 2013 Super User Posted December 3, 2013 Crankbait color basics, Crawdad Brown Crawdad Green Crawdad Red Silver Shad Firetiger Citrus Quote
