Super User BassinLou Posted December 27, 2013 Author Super User Posted December 27, 2013 Here is a question that has always been on my mind, however more so now as the year comes to end. In regards to our ongoing monthly competition, who is going to lead the group into 2014? I know there has been rumblings of someone, or did I jump the gun and steal someone's declaration and official announcement? If so, I apologize, I have been directing this competition for so many months, that I do not want what we all have created to fall by the waist side because of my decision to step down. On a side note, there are 4 more days left in 2013, and I believe it's 1-2 fish can still change the outcome for someone. Here are the top 5 lengths: Jacob: 97.5" Dsidle: 95" Joe: 93.5" Lunkmaster: 93" Bassinlou: 90.5" I know Dsidle is out of town, idk when he is returning. Jacob still has a chance to bust thing wide open. Joe can get the itch to go and Mutt will have no choice but to take him. Lunkmaster has been quiet for a while so he may be up to something. Me... well I am going to the glades tomorrow with one thing in mind actually two. 1. Find nice bass, hopefully they have started to come in. 2. Scouting for my trip on the 1st, so i can begin the New Year ahead of the game and not play catch up. 2 Quote

It would really suck to lose this months competition now. The last couple of days produced nothing and the possibilities look pretty slim that another PIG is waiting to be caught. Quote

Super User AK-Jax86 Posted December 27, 2013 Super User Posted December 27, 2013 DS may be making a power move though, I found this new spot I've been fishing with Czar and they have been killin the pop'r and that's DS's lure. He gets back tomorrow so if he still motivated for that top spot we will take him over there... Mutt tell Joe for a little bribe I won't take him there til new year lol (since your his father you may have to put up the funds for him. I ain't a cheap bribe though lol JK) that goes for you too Jacob lol 1 Quote

Super User AK-Jax86 Posted December 27, 2013 Super User Posted December 27, 2013 Unreal! Got a hot date tonight (dinner and movie) with my girlfriend then out in the AM to the same spot with Czar. Hope we get into some good ones again and I will post some pics (o yea leaderboard I measured her incase I feel like bumping a few people down a spot lol) I still got to throw up the pic of the fish I caught with the bluegill tail sticking out its throat and the lizard I hooked on the KVD 1.5. It has been a pretty cool end of the year so far. Quote

Catch a bonefish with that and kiss all the bass gear good bye lol guys, i already did some bass fishing with it in my back yard. even got a bass to look at the fly once or twice i'll probably use it once in a while, and definitely will be using it in NC next summer when I meet up with my whole family (most of them fish A LOT!). M> Bass fishing in the spring with a fly rod can be fun with little poppers. I took a buddy of mine a long time ago out to the glades on my boat, and he fished in the back with his fly rod. He did all right. Quote
