Super User AK-Jax86 Posted December 18, 2013 Super User Posted December 18, 2013 I lost my lucky KVD, the one that has all the fish markings, yesterday evening at one of my spots about 3ft off shore in a small patch of pads!! I am trying to get someone with a kayak to come and get it for me lol. I have two more of the same crank but I don't want to lose this one it's special, don't know if anyone has a lure like that but if u do you feel my pain lol. When I get it back, not if, I will feel complete again lol. Quote

X2 Lol I went waist deep to get a lure my son gave me for my bday back. It was a tiny rapalacountdown, I don't really us that much but it is the thought that counts(he buys what he likes lol) AK 3 feet is not that bad, time to go swimming if she means that much. Too cold for gators so no worries 1 Quote

Attach a wire close hanger or some sort of hook on it, and retrieve your lure. Quote
fishingator Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 3Ft off shore? You wuss, get in the water and get it! Lol...I go after lures like that all the time...even in the glades. Drives my SO nuts! Quote

There was, haven't seen in a while, a lake placid gator in there lol and some smaller ones haven't seen them in long time though prob too cold for them now UNTI I decide to go get it. Quote

Only thing is I think that I was stuck on the stem, idk if that's what it's called fr Lilly pads because I didn't see it on the leaf part so ima have to cut the pad. I mean I just want the lure for sentimental value more than anything lol I won't even use it when I get it back. Funny cuz I was going to tie a different one on because I wasn't having luck with that color should have went with my gut Quote

Kill two birds one stone daddy gets to shop and do the whole Christmas thing that Sarah has begging me to do lol. It should be fun but Adrian is at the age (18m) that he screams when he sees Santa (tried 3 times so far to get a good pic lol) these pics should be funny Quote

If you are hooked on the stalk of a lily pad, you have two options. Take a swim like suggested or get your hands on that jon boat. Nothing is getting that lure out of those pads once a hook is stuck on there. Quote

The zoo is cool, nice place. Never been for the lights but last year we had annual pass, this year we went with the gator farm in st aug. Quote

Yea I can't see the lure so I think it's stuck on the stalk. Unless when my line snapped it floated back up and is under the pad leaf which is what I am hoping. I am going there Sunday so I will see if I can use that boat and try to get it out gonna have to bring some branch cutters or something if its down below. Quote

Yea when I came down here we loved going to the alligator farm haven't been there since te baby was born. We are waiting til Adrian gets a little older until we bring him there so he knows what he is seeing we will probably bring him there in June for his 2nd birthday. It's a really cool place Sarah wants to do that zip line thing I saw it when we were there last and not my cup of tea lol. Since they had it up the few times I have went I haven't seen anyone do it. I really like how they do the alligator feeding shows. You know that big bridge walkway thing they have going over the lagoon leading to the room where Maximo's replica is, I think that's its name. I was there one time when there was a rain drought and the gators were in like 1ft of water if that, kinda felt bad for em. Quote

dsidle61 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I cant seem to get into any fish that will help me out. Went out to a few spots today bc I had the day off work. Missed two on the frog around noon. Caught 3 on the crank at a different spot after that. biggest was about 18 the other two in the 15" range. took a little break and went back out in the evening. caught a nice bream on the senko lol next time this happens im hooking that bad boy up and tossing him out lol I shoulda done it to this one. switched to the pop r and caught one smaller one and missed a nice one on it. spit me out on the first jump but it probably woulda got rid of one of my 18s. 1 Quote

You may need to slow it down even more. They may not be wanting to surface where you at now. They could be in spawn mode, in which the jigs/senkos/worms/creature bait comes to play. They are looking for easy pickings. Quote
