Tom H. Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Ok folks. Here it goes, I'm pretty much set in my ways on soft plastics, but today I picked up 5 packs of different Havoc baits at $1.59 a pop. Basically all I'm after is your different opinions on these baits. I figured at that price what the heck. Quote
Arv Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Some are good. Some have not produced for me. At their price I'd try out whatever tickles your fancy. You may find something you like. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted December 1, 2013 Super User Posted December 1, 2013 Pit boss is a good pitching bait and the sub woofer makes a great jig trailer. 1 Quote
Super User tomustang Posted December 1, 2013 Super User Posted December 1, 2013 Subwoofer is the best, even found a bunch at Academy on clearance for 98¢ Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted December 1, 2013 Super User Posted December 1, 2013 I have tried just about all of them. A few have made it to the regular rotation, most did not. mnbassman23 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 The 3 I fish consistently are craw fatty, pit boss, and subwoofers. The craw fatty has put numerous biggins in my boat both t-rigged and as a jig trailer. Subwoofer is a great swim jig trailer. I t-rig the pit bosses to pitch around cover and use it weightless as a topwater. Acts similar to a frog and kicks up a lot of water. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 1, 2013 Global Moderator Posted December 1, 2013 Havocs make up a large portion of the soft plastics I carry anymore. The pit boss, juice worm, sick fish, flat dawg, rocket craw, beat shad and deuce are all great baits and very affordable. 2 Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted December 1, 2013 Super User Posted December 1, 2013 I've been pleased with all the Havoc baits I've used. I haven't used them all but the Pit Boss, Deuce, Subwoofer, Rocket Craw and Devil's Spear have all produced for me. For the price, they are hard to beat. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted December 1, 2013 Super User Posted December 1, 2013 3 have made it into my lineup Beat Shad - It's no Keitech but it still catches a ton of fish for me. Flat Dawg - Rigged it on a drop shot and caught my PB Largemouth this season. Great with traditional Wacky too. Subwoofer - Great as a swim jig trailer Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted December 1, 2013 Super User Posted December 1, 2013 The two I try to always have with me are the bottom hopper and subwoofer. they really hit the nail on the head /w that subwoofer 1 Quote
Grantman83 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Pit boss, grass pig as a swim jig trailer, sub woofer, juice work on a football jig head... Pit boss is my fav though Quote

Super User slonezp Posted December 1, 2013 Super User Posted December 1, 2013 Pit Boss in Big Texan color 1 Quote
basshole8190 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Pit boss in perfection green flake bigtexan or black and blue saphire are my favorite and some people trash them but i like the sick fish also Quote
Dyerbassman Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Pit boss and Craw fatty are my favorites. Great soft plastics for the price. Quote
EvanT123 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I've had a lot of success with the Ike "the jerk" soft jerk bait and the price is right. Caught a fish today using one on a dropshot. It was a walleye but at this point I'll take what I can get. Quote
MacP Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 The Subwoofer is the clear winner in the Havoc Lineup. It's the only thing like it out there! Love 'em. As for their other offerings, I catch more fish on Zoom, Reaction Innovations, Keitech, Netbait and RageTail. I'll admit, their price can't be beat! Quote
mjseverson24 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Pitt boss, subwoofer, crawfatty, these are all great baits that regularly are rigged up on my rods, the smash tube is a good bait also especially t-rigged. Mitch Quote
Rickthequick Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Berkley Havoc Flat Dawg did the trick to me. I used tons of stuff at Lake Champlain and always getting small stuff. Tried the pumpkin seed Flat Dawg and started to get some action. Caught from cat fish, to Bigmouth to Pike. Awesome lure. Quote
papajoe222 Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I like the fact that they float, so for presentations like shakes head or C-Rig they're tops. Quote
Lip 'em! Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 I love the pitboss on a shaky head and have recently had good success using the boss dawg on a c-rig. I am itching to try the new moneymaker after watching the icast videos. I believe it could be killer when the wacky worm bite is on. Quote
mprestonSEK Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Pit Bosses have become my favorite jig trailer Quote
dam0007 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Pit boss is a good flipping and even a punching bait. You could also swim it. Good deal you got! Congrats Quote
Super User ChrisD46 Posted July 27, 2014 Super User Posted July 27, 2014 How bad could a Rocket Craw be on a football jig ? Quote
