jdw174 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I read about these in the last issue of FLW Outdoors, then saw them at ***. You have to see the action of these things on a shakeyhead. They are totally sick 8-) !! The rings trap air so that they stand straight up in the water, and if you're kinda dancing them along the bottom they have an action that, well, undulates. You can fish them wacky style, but you'll be able to have a smoke waiting on them to get to the bottom if they're unweighted. The photos below are of the color I've been getting my action on, called California Red. The top is almost a dark brown while the bottom is greenish. It's laced with red flake. IMO, this thing is the cat's behind. Gotta order some more. Quote
brushhoggin Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 they are cool. you should check out the stanley sidewinder though Quote
Thad Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 The Tornado is a great shakey head bait like you said. Try the GrandeBass Rattlesnake when you want a bait with the same body style that sinks a little faster when used weightless. Quote
Primus Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Also a good bait to use on a Carolina Rig. Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 24, 2010 Super User Posted October 24, 2010 I have them and they are dynamite on a shaky head. Tried them out in a local pond and caught one on second cast. Can't figure out how to insert the rattle other than punching it into the belly. Any thoughts on adding a rattle??? Quote
Blue Streak Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 They are a knock off of the Rattle Snake. How are they different? Quote
Captain Obvious Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 They are knock off of the rattle snake. Just like a Yum dinger is a knock off of a senko and a Houdni worm is a knock off of a Trick worm. Regardless they both work great. I seen them out preform senko rigged weight less. Can't wait to try them on a shaky head Quote

I agree with this... both are good , if you want a BIG *** worm with a large profile try the Hags in the 8" size...Huge... T Quote

Stretch the worm out by pulling on both ends and the rattle chamber will become apparent. T Quote
