fishguy613 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I have probably 25 packs of tubes they are my favorite plastic, favorite is probably SK Coffee Tube in Crazy Craw. I find the coffee tubes are some of the most effective yet least durable tubes ive used, however i think most of the coffee infused plastics offered by SK arent the most durable. Still great baits Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I would throw more tubes but I'm having a hard time finding good hooks that will allow me to Texas Rig a tube. Either the hooks are too large or too small and don't have enough gap. Do they make hooks specially for tubes where the hook can be buried like a Texas rig? Quote

I don't know what kind of tubes your throwing but for 3.5 gizit a 1/0 gamakatsu offset worm hook works great. The bend of the hook comes threw right at the tenticles of the tube; leaving the hook texposed. you could bury it if you want but I don't find it the need to since the hook is so close to the plastic. I like to push a bell or cone shaped weight up in the nose first and your set. Gizits work fine for me. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted December 10, 2013 Super User Posted December 10, 2013 Yum vibra king tube X2 - I've caught a lot smallies and lakers in spring on the white color. And it works when drop shotting smallies down deep in the summertime. And again using the watermelon color on a jig head up shallow in the fall. They work for me. 1 Quote
Super User tomustang Posted December 10, 2013 Super User Posted December 10, 2013 I barely use tubes, I don't get any action from them. my wife however can smash smallies on them all the time. She mainly uses gitzit 3/3.5in and mizmo's Quote

Trokar makes a great tube hook for t-rigging. Quote
WCCT Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Mine would also have to be Power Team Lures Food Chain Tubes. I used to be a Dry Creek guy, and they still make a great tube, but I just have more confidence in the Food Chain Tube. Great baits! Quote
