Preytorien Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Just a quick question..... My season is almost over, maybe one or two more outings, but most likely not. How do I store soft plastics during the winter. Most of my gear will stay in a dry but cold garage during the winter. Will that dry them out or damage them? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 26, 2013 Super User Posted November 26, 2013 Nothing to worry about. Quote
Jonnehboi Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 what is this season you speak of bass fishing is year round in all seriousness just make sure the box or the bags are zipped ps id worry about the jigs and hardbaits ypif just ine is still wet it can cause all of them to rust Quote
Preytorien Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 Cool. Thanks guys. I've zipped them up tight in some water/airtight baggies. That should do the trick. Also I set my storage boxes out and let all of my lures air dry with the fan on for about 30-hours so they're nice and bone dry for the winter. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted December 3, 2013 Super User Posted December 3, 2013 I store all my plastics in labeled containers from Walmart. It makes it easy to find what I need. 1 Quote
MacP Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I'll make my wife mad, but when I sell my smaller boat this spring, I'm going to get a tackle stand and put all my plastics in 3701s....and buy new electronics for the bigger boat. (She doesn't have to know about that). Quote
