KevO Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Not sure if this is the right forum but here it goes. I've got Cabelas Guidewear and its about 3 years old. I've never washed them or anything. They've probably only gotten wet 3 times, I mostly just wear it when its cold. How do I was them and what is the stuff called that you spray on it to keep the gore tex repelling water? Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted November 17, 2013 Super User Posted November 17, 2013 Washing Instrctions: http://www.gore-tex.com/remote/Satellite/content/care-center/washing-instructions do not use fabric softener. as for the spray, i think it's called reviveX or repelX. Quote
kschultz76 Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 If you have an ems or Rei near you get a product called tech wash. It's a non detergent laundry product for all kinds of outdoor gear including goretex. The same brand also makes a wash in and spray on dwr application. As noted do not use fabric softener. Quote
baluga Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 no fabric softener ...oh crap.. no wonder my gore tex jacket looks old now. Quote
Dave P Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Revive X is what you want. This retired GI swears by it. Also read and FOLLOW the washing instructions. Quote
