has anyone tried these yet?

http://www.***.com/Lucky_Craft_Pointer_95_Silent/descpage-LCPS.html#multiview

I really prefer using silent baits because I fish heavily pressured waters, but they changed up the weighting system in the silent ones. Are they still as effective? I like the normal pointer 100's, but I always feel like they are way too loud (I can hear it from my boat even when the bait is underwater and 5-10 feet away). Any insight would be appreciated.

I have never used them. And I apologize for hijacking your thread, But what makes lucky craft baits so expensive? Quality, Catch more fish, last longer. I just cant make myself pay that much for one bait.

quality, better paints, weighting of lures, hooks, action, with the pointers the way they suspend.. buy a few you will be hooked they are worth it and if u shop around can get them for around 8 bucks used and 10-12 new

JDK nailed it. You're paying for a quality bait.

I have been fishing silent pointers for several months and can't tell any difference between the "noisy" pointers and silent models when casting.  The silent model may dive slightly deeper.  I've been choosing it over the noisy 75 and 100 and have been catching  fish with it.  I found silent 65 and 75 models at Dick's, as well as the 95's.

Thanks guys, I think I'll bite the bullet and buy a few. I like to throw suspended jerk baits when the water temps get into the 50's. Just wondering what colors to get. Lake is clear usually can see around 3 to 4 feet. Mostly bluegill and crappie from what I have seen. Although I have caught a few sunfish.

Most of my fish are caught on what I call "ghost minnow"... clearish body with brownish back.  I don't remember what Lucky Craft calls it.

That's the one. 78 and 100 is a great bait in this color on Champlain.

I've never used the silent version... I'll add to wish list for next season.

I expect the Silent Pointers to be deadly during the late winter-prespawn period. I have prayed for a Pointer w/out rattles in the past ;D because I fish gin clear waters. I was shocked, as well as relieved when I saw they were making them.

Waiting for the jerkbait bite to turn on  to try mine out. While I am the biggest LC fan I just never like the rattles in the 100sp pointer. The silent 95 has its work cut out for it to unseat the 78sp or slender 97mr as top dog.
