Hey everyone! My name is Carly and i'm from Kingsport, TN. This past summer was officially my first summer of real fishing...and I'm in love!

Someone said I should join a fishing site to learn more....soooo here I am! Spent this summer bank fishing south holston lake which is in both va and tn....mostly caught smallmouths......i might add they were "small" smallmouths.....but hey, anything is better than nothing i suppose!

Mostly using my dads fishing stuff till I can build up a decent amount of stuff on my own. Right now I'm mostly using plugs or crankbaits whatever u wanna call them, and spinner baits.....hoping to learn how to use jigs next spring.....although they seem like a mystery to me :( Anyway, hopefully I'll learn some stuff, and get to know some of you people. See ya!

Carly, we are very happy to have you join us.

You have to promise to ask questions on bass fishing and we will do our best to give you our input.

We have some great guys down your way and they can give you help on South Holston. Ask about this lake in the Virginia and Tennessee fishing sections.

Try to find ponds in your area so you can fish them next year.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome man, nice to see someone my age.  Not too long ago I was in your spot, especially where my ineptitude with jigs was concerned.  I devoted this year to learning to use them, and I've ended up making custom ones and selling them! BTW There is even a forum here for women. Send me a personal message sometime, I'd love to talk.  Until then, Ciao.

I'd like to add to this that you should read the articles on the home page and look up information on specific lures, (e.g. jigs) with the search bar, and you will find a plethora of information from which to learn.
