702bassdude Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Hey! So I was wondering if anyone knows of a few hotels, motels, bed and breakfast, etc. that I could stay in that's walking distance to a lake that has great bass fishing? Keeping in mind, that I would only want to pay for the following if possible: airfare, lodging, food, transportation to and from airport, and the necessary license and permits to fish the local areas. I don't want to spend a bunch. But I also don't want to sleep with roaches and rats. I want to plan at least 2 trips next year during the spring and fall season. I'm thinking about a 5-9 days at the most would be affordable. If anyone knows of a great deal on motels or hotels that's walking distance to a lake it would be very helpful! I would prefer to stay around California or even Texas but will go further if the deal is right! I live in Las Vegas so all I have is lake mead and it's ok... Quote

Are you looking to rent a boat or fish off of the bank? Quote
702bassdude Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 I'm planning on the 2014 road trip! But if anything I like fishing from the bank. Boats can get me to where the fish are but there is something about fishing from the bank that I really enjoy! A lot of guides I researched charge an arm an a leg! Fishing from the bank would be much more cost effective! Quote
martintheduck Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Well I don't know about bank fishing trips, man.... make the trip, pay for the motel, and then the fish aren't in any of the spots accessible by foot? Just seems kind of risky? I'd try making a trip to Lake Fork or Falcon I guess? I dunno. Go on that roadtrip!!!! Quote
