CKFishin Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I'm pretty sure I'm in again this year. I may have an open seat in my truck too. I should know more soon. Will do. The boss definitely can not make it. She cant miss school. I might be interested in filling the seat if it is infact open.
Super User Long Mike Posted December 6, 2013 Super User Posted December 6, 2013 Can someone tell me what section there putting us up in a the cabins? Wife and I may run down and check them out during Christmas. If I stay in one rather then mess with the camper, I'm sure I will be looking for someone to split a cabin with and have a boat seat open for most of the week. Also can bring the smoker and do some Boston Butts or Briskets or Chicken or all the above for one of the dinners. Not going to say its going to be the best you will ever eat. But have fed Hundreds at a time and never had anyone that did not come back for seconds. Pete Pete, all of the cabin lay-outs are identical, so it doesn't matter which cabin you will be staying in. We would love to have your opinions about the cabins and their environs prior to our deadline date for reservations. I would be most interested in your opinion of how fisherman-friendly the resort is, vis-a-vis boat/trailer parking and electrical hook-ups. Secondly, we will happily accept your offer of the smoker. When any of the guys offer to do the cooking, we happily pass the hat among the attendees to help offset costs of the chef. 1
BassnChris Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Can someone tell me what section there putting us up in a the cabins? Wife and I may run down and check them out during Christmas. I do not know if there are different 'sections' or not so I am no help there. The name of the place is The Doublehead Resort. Call 1-800-685-9267........give them a shout. They were very friendly answering my questions both by email and phone during my inquiries and reservation confirmation. 1
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 11, 2013 Super User Posted December 11, 2013 So you really don't need anything for Christmas and your wife is at a loss for ideas. Why not set aside a litlle money and vacation time and dedicate both to joining us at Wilson Lake? 1

ProCrafter Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Promise not to bleed in your boat this time!!
BassnChris Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Promise not to bleed in your boat this time!! No problem........there was not 'that much' blood. Besides....we will have a paramedic with us, eh? :-)
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted December 16, 2013 Super User Posted December 16, 2013 If there is the need for a paramedic, there is most likely the need for a lawyer. Hmmmm, looks like all the bases are covered. Dinky will have his scanner tuned into all the ambulance frequencies. 1
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted December 18, 2013 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted December 18, 2013 Hope you get things resolved quickly. Looking forward to maybe getting to fish with you again! I had to fish with him ALL DAY. It was horrible, it still have night mares...
BassnChris Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I had to fish with him ALL DAY. It was horrible, it still have night mares... And the blood.......all of the blood........talk about nightmares. ;-) But I must say again.....thanks for giving me the chance to experience the horror for myself. Had you not taken the fishing partner you did that day, I would not have been able to have an enjoyable day.......are you sure the nightmares were caused by fishing with him and not that days fishing partner? Hahahahahahahahahaha.
CRANKSTER Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I'm gonna try my best to make this one, but won't know for sure until the first of Jan. I haven't been so successful on making the past ones.

BassnChris Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Can we get a list of those who have submitted registrations? Last I heard there were only 4 registration forms submitted. My wife and I were 2. I think Big Head and his wife or son were the other 2. But my info is 3 or 4 days old.

Last I heard there were only 4 registration forms submitted. My wife and I were 2. I think Big Head and his wife or son were the other 2. But my info is 3 or 4 days old. This is one of the frustrations of planning and organizing the trip. A lot members will wait until the last minute to sign up and it makes it difficult to best use our resources. It makes it easier to make sure you have a bed and boat if you get signed up early. I will always encourage all members to get signed up as soon as you possibly can. It makes the trip better for everyone. Ronnie
