Super User Long Mike Posted March 3, 2014 Super User Posted March 3, 2014 Boats. We need boats? Why. We gonna ski? LOL! No, I'm just trying to keep three members fishing from a boat to an absolute minimum.
papajoe222 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Is there anyone attending the Road Trip that is planning on re-carpeting their boat after the road trip? I have an unopened gallon of marine carpet adhesive I can bring to the trip. If I don't hear from anyone pretty soon........I'll ship it back to seller. save it for me. that's my other boat project this year. The first is repainting the trailer.
BassnChris Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 save it for me. that's my other boat project this year. The first is repainting the trailer. Sorry.......someone already snagged it.
BG RTR Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Butlers in rogersville is the closest. It's about 15 miles away. Excellent breakfast!
CRANKSTER Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Great guys! Come on down! If you have a boat please bring it with you. We can always use more boats. I'd bring mine but my lil jon boat won't handle big water lol. It barely handles pond waters lol
Super User Long Mike Posted March 3, 2014 Super User Posted March 3, 2014 Thanks BG, but what are you talking about? Is it the closest place to the resort where we can get a hot Mom and Pop style breakfast?
macmichael Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Now would be a good time to find out if we need to bring food.

macmichael Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Just grab a biscuit and hit the water ! If your making biscuits, I'll be over.
BassnChris Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 If your making biscuits, I'll be over. My wife will bake the biscuits the week before leave....... C'mon over. Might have some corn dodgers too.
BassnChris Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Any chance she'd make some gravy and grits? Yes......but it won't taste very good being a week old! Hey Chris, I/m just teasing. You never have to say your teasing.........you only have to say when your serious.
macmichael Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I'm serious about this statement." I'm hardly ever serious."
Super User Long Mike Posted March 4, 2014 Super User Posted March 4, 2014 Ladies and gentlemen, I have been trying fervently to locate a Mom & Pop (no fast food) restaurant that opens early enough to cater to fishermen who want a hot breakfast, yet is located no more than a ten-to-fifteen minute drive from the resort. The Doublehead will gladly cater breakfast, but we must guarantee a minimum of twenty-five people. In addition, breakfast will cost each individual about $12. I don't know about you folks, but $12 is a little too pricey for me, plus I doubt that most all of us will want to have breakfast. Therefore we can't guarantee twenty-five people. My hope is to find a place where the locals frequent; you know, where the farmers and ranchers hang out. No success yet. All help would be appreciated.
lazeebum Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I think there is a place at the intersection of state hwy.'s 101 and 184. There ain't much in that area that I know about. I will check it out and report back.

I've tried to call them several times but got no answer.
