Does anybody no of a decent digital fish scale? I looked on BPS and Googled it. The Reviews for the models on

BPS were mixed at best. On all the models, Some said it was the best and some said no way don't buy. Just wondered what some of you guys use.

I use the Econo Digi 44 lip grabber and have been real happy with it. It's been accurate to within an oz since I got it, and it really helps with controlling bass, or handling nasty toothy fish.

I just use a berkley digital scale I bought at wal-mart for $20 If I remember correctly. It measures up to 50lbs.  It seems to be accurate enough, I've only noticed it being off 1 oz or so, if that.  I'd probably go with the lip grabber though, it's kind of a pain to get the fish to stay still to stick the hook under its lip.

I think it was the Berkely that got mixed reviews, Some were happy and some not. Sounds like yours is doing well for you tho.  Thanks for the Reply

I use the Rapala, comes in 15, and I believe a 30lb version. Cost under 30.00, and very accurate.

I had one of those Rapala scales, every dang fisg I caught weighed 2lbs!!!  So I chunked it and now I use the Berkley one.  It seems to be accurate enough for me.

Electronic scales need to run on good batteries.  I change mine once a month.  Otherwise, you get wonky weights.  A good spring scale is more accurate.  Look into Chatillon.  They have a whole class of scales for anglers.

ive been checking out those econo scales but i keep finding mixed reviews and not finding the increments it measures in. is it ounces?

Id avoid the berkley, I have one that reads different every time I turn it on.  First time I weighted a fish, which I knew was over five it read 4.6, I took it home put a 5lb plate on the end it read 4.4 So I took off the plate and turned off the scale, and turned it back on put the plate on again and it was 4.6.  I kept trying different weights, and not once was it off by a consistent amount.  I might try putting some new batteries in it and see if that helps.

I use the BPS digital scale.

It works fine for me. My only complaint is that it always turns on in my tackle box because it gets pushed up against the sides.

Easily fixed with a tackle bag though.

Mine seems fine too! I keep checking mine with my weight plates to my weight bench.  Might be of an ounce if any as well but good for me as well.

I have the $20 berkley and it said this fish was 2.6, turned it off and back on, 2.11, fish shook, 3.2.

It was 16" and at least 14" in girth, my estimate was 3.14-4.2.....fish calculator says 4.8 at those measurements.

Thats the type of input that most people with the $20 Berkley have been saying. Thanks for your input. By the way nice fish, That lake looks awesome.
