Decided to try breaking in a new and older unused buzzbait with a fan. I pinched the rivet, and sanded off the paint from the base of the blade. So far it seems to be squeeking it up nicely. Anyone else use this method?

That is "old school" for buzz baits.

Several that I know and myselft used to purchase Lunker Lures years ago and hold them out the window on the way to the lake to get the "squeak" going.

Problem was when a bowfin smashed it, the blade was ripped off.
