The Maine state record is 11 lbs 10 oz.  The fishing has been insane the last three months in Maine and Vermont. In the past three months. I have caught and posted pics of 4 over 7 lbs, 3 over 8 lbs, and the 9-1 I caught a couple of days ago. The fall in New England is an excellent time of year to catch big bass ! Most fisherman have given up the year or have been focused on hunting. I am still fishing.

I seriously am blown away by these numbers!? That is just ridiculous. I am assuming you are catching them all on the same lake right?

I am catching them at one particular lake in Vermont and a couple in Maine.

Very nice and i bet very old fish to get that big in Maine

Congrats!!

Having samples aged by 3 different biologists. First result was 16+ years old. That means that bass was spawned in 1997.
