rangerboy Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I know bass don't have a rule book, but the tournament last week was won off a a-rig. smashed it by 10lbs . water temp still in the mid 60's here in California a I thought it was mostly a pre spawn bait. too early or have others already started tossing this beast until your arms fall off. Super User J Francho Posted November 4, 2013 Super User Posted November 4, 2013 I took 2nd a few weeks ago on Oneida with an A-rig. All brown fish. 1 Quote
rangerboy Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 great job, I haven't thrown it too much but the majority of the tournaments last year if you didn't have one tied on you might as well go home. until about march, then I didn't see any Quote
JWOA Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Thinking about buying an a rig myself its warm here in GA... Quote
Super User WRB Posted November 4, 2013 Super User Posted November 4, 2013 TW has all the A-rigs at 80% off, about a week ago now, so hurry while they last. Tom Quote

KyakR Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Maybe I'm an old fogey, but there's something about an A-rig that creeps me out 1 Quote

Lip 'em! Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Finished 2nd in a small club tournament a week ago. All keepers but one came on the rig. Water temps still running from 62-67... Quote
basshole8190 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I've been using it a lot this week and have caught twice as many fish as my buddy and he's in the front of the boat Quote
rangerboy Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 any thought to what the best set up is, I have the yum flash mob, yum 3 wire, and some Picasso baits, all with Minos style baits. didn't use to much last year but will be trying this year Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 9, 2013 Global Moderator Posted November 9, 2013 Personally I like the rigs with the added spinner blades like the Flash Mob. Cooler water months are the right times to fish them so it is about that time of year. Unfortunately we aren't allowed to fish them in KS so we miss out on that amazing A rig bite. Quote
basshole8190 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 The flash mob and flash mob jr are my go to rigs pre front and i like to downsize to the three wire in skinny water or post front for finesse applications also like manns slick rig and the berkley schooling rig Quote
pbizzle Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 And I felt crazy for throwing a donkey rig. 2 Quote
