Went fishing this morning-early afternoon, nice 70 degree weather, on and off overcast so I went to my "lucky" lake :eyebrows: .Figured the warm weather would bring them closer to the surface and shallows.  As you know or not I'm a bank fisherman. I threw out everything, tried different techniques  and they would not bite :Idontknow: , Oh yeah, I saw them following and looking at my "presentation". Then they looked at me and laughed :hahaha-024:  ... Not really but it  felt like they were.  It was just one of those days :scared: .  Still had a good time though.

I have been getting the same looks and laughs directed toward me around here a lot lately myself.I had one small group of immature bass take the show of disrespect a step further,i watched them slowly follow my rattle trap up to the shoreline and then look up at me and i swore i saw one of them give me the finger.

I was bankbeating yesterday and forgot to turn on my stealth mode when walking up to the pond. A bass was sitting in a foot of water staring at me while I stared back. I slowly began to set my other two rods down so I could pitch my ds rig at him but at soon as I moved he spooked. I wonder what would have happened if I just stood there.

Hey, I thought that only happens to me...... LOL. I love it when its a wolf pack of 3-5lb fish and seems like they simultaneously turn to their sides so that I can get a clear view of their girths.

I was using a Rapala suspender, they would follow it , I would stop, then they stop and look at it. I would jerk it a little (stay out of the gutter) then they went :laugh5:

1.  Change lure color.

2.  Reel fast and stop, allowing bait to hit bass in their face (so to speak).

3.  Wacky rig a Senko on a spinning rig and make it fly up and down back to you very slow.

4.  Trade a size down in bait size if possible.

The bass were not feeding. Maybe a cold front passed through the day before; or the pond is starting to turn over; or there is a new shopping cart in the water that disturbed the bass; or they know who you are and are making fun of you; or it is Jimmy Hoffa's ghost making them not hit your bait; or the Flyers won a hockey game and messed all the karma in the pond; or the bass saw you and think you are dressed funny; and the list could go on.

If the bass are not feeding you have to aggravate them into biting. Otherwise they will follow your bait back to you all day. This will happen to us all sooner or later and sometimes you can change your color, presentation or bait size and other times nothing you do will make them hit our bait.

I would double check around for new shopping carts, too.

5.  Put a small nail in the back of a French Fry or finesse worm and throw it weightless so it falls backwards. This has worked for me in the past but only caught some small ones.

And please look for that shopping cart!!!!

There is alot of crap in this lake. I was changing up my baits, but couldn't go thru all of them because of time Constraints.

I had a day like that a couple of months ago.  You could see the bass swimming around in and out of the hydrilla.  When by bait would go by them they would just stop and stare at it until it was past them.
