I am real particular about using P-Line CX in the Fluorescent Blue.  All I can find now at Academy and TW is in Moss Green.  Anybody have any qualms about fishing line color?  Does it really matter?  I normally fish stained waters anyways.  Not much clear water in Alabama.

I started off mainly using clear Excalibur silver thread copolymer line for many years.

Buy I slowly switched to green one setup at a time. Now I mainly use the yozuri hybrid in green. I don't notice any differences in the numbers with catches. But like you it's slightly stained water to stained water conditions here on the average.

They say that blue colored lures can change to brown colors under certain water and light conditions. You have me wondering if your blue line turns to brown too?

I guess the real question does the color of our line really matter?

Are the fish line sensitive?

I know for sure a noisy reel can send sound vibrations down our line into the water. Just some facts.

Well, although I don't think it really matters, If I am not fishing fluorocarbon, I like the color to blend.

For stained water, Yo-Zuri Hybrid Purple Smoke is the ticket. For gin clear water, Hybrid in green.

I use to use CX that has the fluorescent hue all the time, I since dropped it and chose clear. Haven't seen a difference in catch rates.

The only reason to use a high visible fluorescent line is to allow you to see the line above the water or where it enters the water, water clarity has little to do with this. Night fishing with black lights, florescent line glows and very easy to see.

Since we don't know what bass see under water regarding colors, choose a color line you are comfortable with. Tuna anglers, tuna have big eyes and phenomenal sight capabilities, use pink colored line with good success.

I fish in clear water lakes and used clear, dull green and blue tinted line, FC and mono with equal success.

Line diameter is far more important to me.
