BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted November 23, 2013 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted November 23, 2013 I'm in again for December. Hopefully I will get to fish more than 1day. This work thing is becoming a drag Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted November 23, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 23, 2013 lol no. I was just bs'n. Maybe a 35lb bag in a whole month if lucky would be more like it. I havent even been allowed to go fishing lately between work and other crap.  FSTR, you threw a curve ball at me... LOL.  I was not surprise, if you did catch a 35lb bag. You go off and fish and we don't here from you for a week and you come back with some nice pics. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted November 23, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 23, 2013 Got back from the glades a little while ago. A short outing. 6:30am - 11:00. We caught a lot of fish, but don't worry gang, no monsters to report from out there yet. We must have caught about 50-60 fish total, but they were dinks. Had a good time, learned some new things, all in all it was a fun day. Come home to rain, and tomorrow is more of the same. I really want to pass the 100" mark. Tick....tick..... tick.... Quote
fishingator Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Ugh! We can't buy a fish! I got a 10" on my first cast of the day and then NoThiNG for hours! We walked and walked an threw the tackle box at them :/. A friend of ours is fishing shiners and keeps posting pics of all his fish gah! So disappointing! Quote

Super User AK-Jax86 Posted November 23, 2013 Super User Posted November 23, 2013 That the spot over on chest wick off argyle? Yea that's it. Funny I thought that was DS spot cuz he told me about it, I never took Derrick there and he knew about it. So when we were in the car Derrick was like MCS told me about it a while back and DS said yeah he told me about it too lol. I think that might have been the spot you told me about too in a PM saying you knew someone who caught a DD using a bluegill type lure if I remember correctly. Quote
Rovingmutt Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 well i spent 9 hours out fishing today, 6:30 to 3:30, trying to get another 20" or more, but no luck today only got 5 and the biggest was 17", so no culling caught my 1st fish on a spook (bone) at first light, 17 inch the 2nd on a white fluke w/red hook weightless around 8:30, 16 inch 3rd on kvd crankbait 1.0 sexy shad, 12 inch, missed 2 or 3 on this 4th on 1/4 oz rattle trap, silver and blue, worked slow near bottom, 25 ft, 16 inch, last fish around 1:30 used a spro frog, green, missed 2 more, but this one was the most fun today, 16 inch most of the guys i talk to today had a very slow day, some were skunked. Â lou, i'm in for next month 2 Quote

He got I think he said one about 5 outta the ditch. We saw an old guy there fishing for bream, he didn't catch anything but watched us catch em lol At that spot Czar was using a shad rap and I was using a KVD 1.5 in bream or a shad rap i forget i had a few blow ups on the frog but either they didn't fully take it or I missed the hook set. We went to a few spots in OP and landed 1 on a frog missed a bunch and the rest came on shad raps or KVD. I went to SJGC around 3 and caught 6 on frogs and had a bunch of misses and 3 small ones on shad rap. Biggest was 21" going back out in the morning on our side of town so I will do my write up tomorrow before Peyton vs Brady (can't wait for that game). 1 Quote
dsidle61 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Yes Czar please post those fish, people will be in awe. MCS we were fishing the small pond on the left just past that long skinny one that wraps around those townhouses. Ive caught some nice ones out of the small pond but never anything more than 10-12" out of the other one. I had a rough day yesterday. Had one on drug it through the weeds to my feet and then wiggled its self off. Couldnt really see a size bc it was covered in weeds. Had 2 other misses throughout the day but that was it. Ive been in quite a funk lately I dont think ive landed a fish in about 2 weeks. I was throwing frog mostly but switched back and forth between the senko and crank later on in the day. AK had a nice hit at my spot I fish frequently so hopefully i can pick some out of there bc it has been dead for a few weeks now. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted November 24, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 24, 2013 I went with my brother in law, to his favorite fishing hole in West Miami. We got there a little before 4pm and stayed til about 515pm. Wind was ENE, 15-20 mph, and cloudy. I was using my big Koppers frog, aka: Bubba. I was able to land a 19.5" within the first 10 min of getting there and shortly after an 18". The wind picked up and the temps dropped a little, so any bite we did have shut down.   18"   19.5"  This places me at 94.5" for the month. It's going to be tough to try to hit 100". My time is very limited unfortunately. 2 Quote

fishingator Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Ugh I might be done for the month and I only posted three fish . I might try to go out early Saturday morning but we are having a big tailgating brunch after being away for thanksgiving so that may just be a dream lol. Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted November 25, 2013 Super User Posted November 25, 2013 Took the boat out for 4 hours yesterday with a friend of mine. We fought the wind, and caught a few decent ones. We didn't go out till around 11am, so the bite was a little slow. Weather is making them act funny. Didn't see too much commotion on the water, and hard to see what the fish were doing underwater with all the chop and silt in the water. For those of you having a tough time lately, slow down. I found the pattern to be slow in the weeds with plastics that you can use weedless. The fish seemed to be hiding down there out of the pushy water. I frogged through some mats, but the fish didn't seem to want to play. We did more motor boating around and drinking beer, lol. Was nice with the breeze though, but could have been at a slower speed. Obviously cranking is fast moving and when I fish my frog I use a constant retrieve. I have a feeling once this weather gets cold cold it will have to be worm and jig time, but for whatever reason the fish are on in the afternoon and killing frogs and cranks up here. Going out with Czar and DS this afternoon so hopefully they are still locked in.  Northern FL anglers add some KVD 1.5s, shad raps, and frogs to your arsenal I even have my boy Mouldie from Orlando believing the hype lol. I think the cranks work because they are around the same size as the baitfish this time of year, at least that's what my fish scientist buddy told me lol  If you read this Lou I will post my pics and write up when we get back around dark, so far only have a 21" to cull the 18" everything else caught this weekend was under 18 1 Quote

No, Saturday I had to help my dad, yesterday was the wifes friend and boyfriend, which I went to school with, came down for the day. Him and I went out on the boat while the girls did crafts and stuff.  Whys it got to be me? Maybe its you? I guess you just don't "float my boat" anymore. 3 Quote

dsidle61 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 d**n i always seem to catch fish right after lou posts standings. Went out with AK and czar this afternoon for a bit. Managed to pull in 2 on a kvd 1.5 crankbait orange and brown color (craw i think is the name). One 16" and one 17". Missed a fish that was easily in the 5/6 pound range, looked just like the my pb i posted earlier this month, bumped my crank then swiped it right in front of me and im pretty sure i jumped the gun bc i saw the whole thing and how big he was. Havent caught any post worth fish in awhile so im not sure where im at hopefully this puts me in the top 10. 2 Quote
