fishingator Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Went out to the same spot today because apparently I didn't get enough yesterday lol. Crossed a swampy area that opened up a whole new land of opportunity. Apparently I don't know how to use a swim bait because I missed three today...only one that likely would have been worth mentioning. I did catch one small. Interestingly enough I caught this decent sized crappie which was fun. Quote
dsidle61 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 as Czar mentioned we spend about 6-7 hours on the water yesterday w AK as our tour guide lol. I only pulled in this 15.5". Had probably 7 misses on the frog a couple nice ones too. We did make some good cop friends though. We got stopped in pontre vedra at a place posted w signs for resident fishing only. We were on the way out anyway so after the cops ran all of our IDs and SEARCHED Czar we headed down the road a bit to the next spot. Probably 30 min later we are leaving another pond in a neighborhood that is in no way gated or marked and i see a cop car come up behind me flicks his lights on. I look back and sure enough its the same cops lol he said they got another call about us but he also said in no way can he keep us from fishing the pond that was unmarked but just that it will be a hassle bc people will keep calling. Sounds pretty ridiculous to me i mean i understand the first pond bc it was marked but i dont care how much you pay for HOA if your ponds arent marked and community isnt gated you shouldnt be able to call about people. but anyway heres my 15.5" puts me at 3 fish for 50.5" i believe. Caught it yesterday on a ribbit frog louisana craw color about 630am right in front of a culvert. 3 Quote

Phil_M Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Here's two from today. Lou, if you decide not to count the one with the nose chopped, it's cool. First one was on a Gambler Little Otter in Florida 5-O - One of my favorite lures. Rigged Texas on 1/0 Trocar worm hook. Second 7.5" black Cluprit rigged on weighted EWG weedless hook with spring lock. 3 Quote

We have been flawless w our trust system here in the FL competition so far, sometimes its difficult to take a perfect picture but I dont think any of us here are desperate enough to cheat for an inch! 3 Quote

Super User BassinLou Posted November 10, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 10, 2013 I went out for a little while late this afternoon. Since I am culling, I decided to take out Bubba. He is the big Live Target frog. I went to a canal in my neck of the woods that has a lot of overhangs. I caught 4 nice ones. The biggest one went for 17.5". I was able to cull my 16". Puts me at 91.5" With Bubba, any bass hits him, he is not getting away. LOL. It was the black/brown/white Koppers frog. The day was cloudy, wind from the East, 20+ MPH. 3 Quote

Couldn't get up this morning stayed up late watching overhaulin and getting phone calls about my 3 yr being an egg head in the hotel at 2 am. Hit the water at 6:45 and the fishes apparently didn't get the invite. Geese everywhere. But I get to fish this even! so I will try to redeem myself. Quote
bostonsox2904 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Caught on Yozuri minnow crankbait after work in Coral Springs. 16.5" Unfortunately one of the treble hooks ripped her gills pretty bad and she didn't make it. Lady near me was fishing for keeps so I gave it to her for dinner. 1 Quote
