Super User AK-Jax86 Posted November 7, 2013 Super User Posted November 7, 2013 Suck on this Gambler! P.S. On a t-rigged 6" green zoom lizard, 3/16 bullet weight, 3/0 EWG hook, 50# green braid. Dropped across a canal into some cover, let it dropped, and before it hit the bottom she was on! BTW, it was in a park you took me to about a year ago, off Coral Springs Dr. and Atlantic Blvd. in case anyone want's to hit the same spot. I also got 4 or 5 smaller ones... Nice fish Martin! How is the canal in your back yard since you added some cover/structure? Quote

CountBassula Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Nice fish Martin! How is the canal in your back yard since you added some cover/structure? so far it made no difference, i think more cover is needed in that area. though i fished a lot of that canal and starting 300 or so yards west of me it really picks up, though small bass Quote
dsidle61 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Birthday parties ended for me a LOOOONG time ago spent today babysitting lol. Going out to dinner with my girl and son later when she gets home then having an adults night out Saturday after I'm done fishing with the boys. My birthday package from TW just arrived excited to try some things out Saturday, ESPECIALLY those 2 deadly frogs... I had to take them out the package one is rigged on my pole just waiting to be inhaled lol Nice stash right there! I hit up the gander mountain up by the airport yesterday bc i was in the area and picked up some of those gamblers in june bug. Ive been trying to find those frogs youve got there but havent had luck yet. To chime in on the convo you were having back a forth w mouldie and MCS. I had stopped fishing about 5 years ago bc of college and starting my first job and such. I got down here and after about year i dug up my pole (the one i snapped last week) while moving and decided to pick it back up but literally had nowhere to start. The guys on here have basically gotten me started back up from square one. And everyone has been more than willing to share some spots lures and techinques. Running into people out on the water i mostly get from them their big one that got away story. Quote

Why it got to be pinned at me? I'm in the same boat as you, well...... I have not been able to do much fishing. I don't think I am going to do much this month. As a matter of fact I don't think I even stated that I am in unless it just goes without saying for me. I am here to help anyone out if they have any questions regardless. I will be doing some bank fishing Sunday morning with my new Chronarch/Crucial jig combo. I will feeling the bottom out of this new water I have access to. I will post some reports. Anywho, to all good luck this month, and Martin, be afraid! Quote

The Commodore Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Ive been trying to find those frogs youve got there but havent had luck yet. I'm pretty sure they are Lunker Hunt frogs. I have one but in a different color. They have a great action. Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted November 8, 2013 Super User Posted November 8, 2013 Today's top times: 10:30-11:30am, and 4-6pm. Good luck. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted November 8, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 8, 2013 I have been using the lunker frog now for several outings now. I was really looking forward to get my hands on this frog, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. Pro's: the colors are pretty, and it flies pretty good when casted. Cons: takes on way too much water, without even a fish strike, the motion is eh..., it cannot handle too much abuse. Overall, I will be sticking with Booyah and Livetarget frogs. Again, this is my personal review, I am not asking for a debate.... 3 Quote

fishingator Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Have a plan and a new spot for tomorrow morning. I'm hoping mostly just to have a nice morning of catching since we have struggled the last few times out. Quote

Rovingmutt Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 It was a windy day, nice for top water , i started at 6:30 and fished till 1:30, cloudy at times, started with a zoom white super fluke, got a small 14 and a 20 inch, but then the bite stopped, changed to a top water spook(bone color) and started searching around the lake did'nt find anything, i went to a cove to get out of the wind and started throwing top water, boom found the fish they were hitting hard sending my lure flying many times, total catch today was 17 fish, 3 good enough to cull out 21", 20 1/2", and 17", the 17" was caught on a sexy dawg, a lot of fun today, topwater is the best!!, the second one was incredible fight, got caught up in my anchor, all were caught on 20# braid, used a white fluke, spook(bone), and a sexy dawg water temp-73 the most activity was at about 10:00 I have to work this weekend so hopefully this keeps me in the game, good luck to all, and try your top water if it's windy. 4 Quote

Super User BassinLou Posted November 8, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 8, 2013 I managed to go out today just shy of couple of hours before the rain rolled in. I managed to catch a pig. This one came in at a chunky 19" and 5lbs. I caught it on a SK caffeine shad in pearl blue. Weightless, with a 3/0 Gami, on 10lb yozuri. Wind was from the NE 15-20mph, temp was 83 degrees, partly cloudy, until the rain clouds rolled in from the North. This one puts me at 88.5" I was able to cull the 14" I had. 2 Quote
