Super User BassinLou Posted November 28, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 28, 2013 Happy Thanksgiving! Been in camping/fishing in the salt, hopefully I'll be able to get out and round out my creel over the next couple of days. Hey Phil, I was curious where you were at. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted November 28, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 28, 2013 I wanted to take a moment and make an announcement. December, will be my last month coordinating our monthly tournament. I am saying this with a bit of heavy heart, although it is the right decision at this time. I chose Thanksgiving to make this announcement, because I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to coordinate such a fun competition. I met a lot of new people by doing so, and made several friends in the process. Starting in January, another passion of mine kicks into high gear, and it comes in the form of High School coaching. My season will run til late April or early May. This commitment requires my full attention, and during this time I feel I will not be able to serve all of you to the fullest of my capabilities. I will remain has a competitor, and one of my goals is to beat AK, at least one time. LOL... I am stepping down for now, however I would love to return in May and continue where I left off. I welcome anyone, who would like to lead us for the New Year. Thanks again, for having me as your coordinator, you are all a great bunch of anglers and I had a blast. Let's have an outstanding December!! Til next time... Bassinlou. Quote

Jacob044 Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Lou, I wish you the best and thanks for coordinating. You have done a great job. I am sending pics of bass I got today. I didn't' actually measure them as I'm not in the running BUT wanted to post some pics to the site. The two biggest were 15" @. The rest somewhat smaller but I got them within an hour period from 3:30 to 4:30. Green Senco. In the river behind my house. Yes, they are all different fish. Jman 1 Quote
Jacob044 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Just a pic of the biggest today. I got a total of 7 during a 20 minute hot feeding period. Every cast was a winner. This 3# was the biggest at 17". Not in the running though. Just wanted to post a pic. Most fish came on a rattling minnow during the feeding period. 1 Quote

dsidle61 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Lou I think everyone appreciates what youve done for the competition. We should definitely find a person who would like to keep up what lou has done for those few months that he is unavailable. I went out w AK this afternoon for about an hour or two on his side of town. Stopped at one spot that looked promising but left w no action. Hit another spot and again i left w no action, as for AK he found a hot spot on the pond and killed the fish for about 30 minutes. I was literally standing 30 feet away and didnt get a nibble. Still trying to get one more fish to cull my 14" and hop up into the top 5. Quote
Super User MCS Posted November 30, 2013 Super User Posted November 30, 2013 Try to take my boys in the am then it is pack for Vegas Baby. Won't be fishing the first week of Dec. that's for sure, weather is supposed to be beautiful here too. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted November 30, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 30, 2013 Good luck to any one who is going out today. Today as we all know is the last day of Nov. I will post final numbers either tonight or tomorrow morning. Giving you heads up Dsidle... LOL.. Right after that I will be launching the December and last competition of the year. 1 Quote
Super User MCS Posted November 30, 2013 Super User Posted November 30, 2013 Went out today, son number 2 decided it was too cold. Son number 1 decided to try a new lure. Cold n windy,, I hooked into one got it a foot from the bank and lost it. 10" kissemme blue gambler on 3/16 oz bullet and 5/0 owner. It woulda culled that 13...probably a 16" and a pound or two. Maaaan sucks but oh well. Boy got skunked. Only fished an hour or so. Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted November 30, 2013 Super User Posted November 30, 2013 I was out a little after 9a til around 11a and boy did I get into some fish! Ended up catching 16, most fish that I have caught in one area within that time frame by far. I was talking to Mouldie (idk if he is competing but I know he has some nice fish for this month he's been showing me them) and he told me about this app for iPhones and the fishing times are spot on! I saw the app a while ago and was skeptical about it did to think it would work. I told him about yesterday and the fish I got into with DS and he sent me a screen shot and sure enough the times were on there. Out of the 16 only 4 were big but won't do anything numbers wise biggest 2 went 19" I kept them on the tape measure for a little longer hoping they would grow an inch lol jk. But every fish came on my KVD 1.5, same one from the pic few days back that is all I have been using and the fish love it. Still not a fan of mono I had my crank break off twice as it got hung up on weeds, the knot was still tied to the lure too. Fortunately it happened right in front of me so I tied another one on and fished it out both times. That's it for me this month got the rest of the day planned away from the water with the family. Going to be heading out tomorrow evening with DS and maybe Czar to start off this cold December, eventhough I looked at the weather and the first week is suppose to be really nice temp wise. Quote
fstr385 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 went out a couple times this weekend and got some good ones. this one near my house and the following one punching in lox... the wind was baaad yesterday. only managed to get like 15 fish in the boat all day. My GF and I are goin back out tomorrow hopefully to load some good ones. Don't remember what the first one was caught on, the second was a 1.25oz/rage craw bluebug/5/0 flip hook. No tape measure. Only had my 12" ruler on the floor lol. Oh well. 3 Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted November 30, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 30, 2013 FSTR nice fish. It's been a while. Too bad you forgot the tape measure, you would have been top 5 for sure with that pair. Hope to see you competing in December. Quote

Super User BassinLou Posted November 30, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 30, 2013 I was all set to go out and probably cull one or two i hoped, but mother nature had other ideas. Went to the movies with the family, come out and its pouring. It eventually stopped but it was too late. Not enough daylight left. So unfortunately my November run is over too. Quote
