Good luck this weekend everybody. We are at the half way point for the month, from the 28 participants we have this month, 18 participants have posted catches, and 10 have not. Yet!  I know the time change and weather changes have affected the fishing this month. Remember.. we have to keep LMG entertained, because he bores easy, ;) so let's have a great weekend and post some catches. I will post either Sunday night or Mon, depending on how many submissions I receive.

i thought this cold front that rolled through S.FL. would help, but it's been super slow for me last few days :(

Todays top times: 10:30-12:30pm, 5-6pm. Good luck.

LMG, I notice that you post times every day. My problem is that the tables I come up with do not agree with yours. Do you add or subtract for daylight saving or how do you come up with the times you post> I am in central Florida, Tampa area.  Thanks, Jman

Central Florida area may have a different time table. Mine is programmable to area specific times, which would be for the Ft Lauderdale and Miami areas. I don't know how far off the times are from you.

Went out from 6:15 today til about 11....Hit several spots some old some new. Think one of the new spots might be AK's he been holding out on LOL, talking with a gentleman that works next to the pond said couple guys were there caught about 15. Man I was late for me, there about 10 am and fished it half hearted til about 11. Fishted a proven spot, missed a strike while fielding a phone call, and the spot of the day I got 3 in an hour and a half, biggest was 16-17 but skinny. I will post him up later as I don't have a cord to upload at the moment. All three were between 7 and 830 with rattlesnakes in ssabednarg. 1/16 bullet 4/0 hook. This time it was either the fall or the first movement after the intial cast. Going back out this afternoon around 4 or 5 pm and fish for a couple then some new spots near church tomorrow.

Nah we are going to gate tomorrow we were fishing on Old Saint and then we were fishing those ponds on Nacatee Parkway. You should try them out. The one that's next to this church, same road you told the guy about the park to take his kids fishing (shhh those snakes that look in here to steal spots might be reading this so I'm dropping clues lol) a guy pulled a 10lber out of he posted it on this app. There are some good fish in there I missed a big on last week caught a 18 or 19 I forget and Dan missed a few good ones last week too. Today we got skunked at that one and then I caught one at another spot on Nacatee heading back towards our area.

Did you take your kids to The Academy grand opening? I am actually just pulling in there now with my girl and son, he's only 17 months but he knows what a fish is an daddy can always use more tackle lol

Here's a topic to chat about...my SO asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told him I wanted a bc setup. I don't have one and don't know how to use one for bass fishing so I need suggestions on a good bc reel that would be a good "learner" and not break the bank and what pole to put it on. Thx :D

Revo SX HS -Spend the extra $30 dollars even if you have to wait a little longer to get it.

Abu Garcia Veritas -  get a Medium Heavy that is 6 inches longer than you are tall.

This combination makes up the bulk of my tournament gear.  The rods are light and very sensitive.  The reels are indestructible and easy to use.  My daughter (now 17) learned to use these at the age of 12.

Yea man I much rather fish the evenings and mornings. Mid day is tough getting the fish to bite but sometimes they do. I stopped at the pond behind Publix around 4:15 because Adrian had a dirty diaper so we stopped to change him. I threw a shad rap very first cast I caught a fish and then I caught 3 more and was only there for 10 mins if that, all small biggest was probably a pound.

If you get a chance go over to Academy with your family tomorrow it's pretty cool. They had a pro, atleast he was dressed that way lol, fishing the big tank showing people how to fish different lures and giving out a lot of information and techniques. Then they have a little bounce house for the kids and the catfish pool where they can catch catfish. Free hot dogs and water after 11a. Then when you get inside they have a bunch of sweepstakes that you can enter for gift cards and free stuff, I wish they had a kayak one! There was one where they were giving away gift cards highest being $500. Also they have a bunch for free tackle and rods. My girlfriend entered the fishing stuff one and we just got a call from a Texas number and she won a free rod and reel combo! Not sure what brand it is but she has to bring in her ID to the store to get it so we will be going back tomorrow, and I am going to enter again or have her do it since she had the luck lol.

Man I can't wait til my son is old enough to go out with me and know what's going on lol. Today he touched a fish for the first time and then he wouldn't go near the other 3 after that lol. It was funny when you ask hi what sound a fish makes, he's 17 months, he smacks his lips. When I caught the fish my girl would ask him what's that Adrian and he would start smacking his lips making a fish sound lol

I'm glad you had a good father son outing dispite Mother Nature I can't wait to have those moments with my son

My son and i fished today from 9:30 to 3:00, cloudy and raining, i had to bail out my jon boat 3 times.

we started using zoom white super flukes slow into the grass and were getting some fish, but a slow bite, then my son(9 yo)

started getting fish, alot of fish, and big ones, he was throwing out and letting it sink about 2 to 4 ft then a fast retrieve and the loved it, his total for day was 26, i got 8, 6 on white fluke, 1 on a sexy dawg topwater, 1 on sexy shad crankbait at about 6 ft,

some of his fish

every dog has his day, even the young ones
