Ok im on the hunt for the new rod.  I like the look of the BPS carbonlites, im looking at the Johnny Morris ones.  I really dont want to lose the high sensativity that i had w my ultra lite rod but obviously i want to beef up.  Is there a real huge difference between the medium lite, medium and medium heavy?? For those who dont know im pretty big on the frogs but i also use a fair amount of soft plastics (senkos, flukes, lizards) as well as some rapalas.  Like i said i literally havent bought a rod for myself in my lifetime lol which is weird but ive just always had the same one.  I appreciate the help!

Check out the *** Black by ***. It's the best rod I've used in the $100 range and I've had quite a few. It's a really nice rod for the price. You can get them locally at Gander Mountain. For soft plastics and frogs I'd suggest a MH F or XF. You could get away with a medium though.

I have a 6'-6" MH F Carbonlite spinning that is plenty of sensativity for jigs, Texas rigs, weightless plastics but enough back bone for long hook sets or frog fishing. I throw mainly plastics or rattle traps ocasional topwater hard bait or jerk bait in a pinch. Mono or braid it fished well and sensative with either line....that is a great all around rod. There is a few threads in the rod section I know of that talk about these rods.

Ugh. You guys got off to a faster start than I thought you would. I am sorry but I am moving this weekend, so my reports may be delayed a bit. I will go back and read the catches and stories more in detail after this crazy weekend. Gonna be a rough month to start.

I will have to take advantage of the weather today. We are forecasted to have mostly sunny skies with a light winds, and its the last day of daylight savings time. After today, my fishing time will be limited to Fri afternoons, and a few hours on the weekends.

Good morning! I took the kiddo this morning and we did ok. I caught a 15" (I got to use my new ruler) on a zoom speed worm watermelon red rigged weedless on a 3.0 hook and braid at 8am. Fog was burning off, no wind. Medium retrieve and I would pause at the grass line. Every hit came on the slow sink. I also caught a 10" or so and a Dinkasaurous Rex. We moved spots and the kiddo caught

on the same set up but on mono.

Nice job Gator, I have your catch down. I am also thinking about getting that ruler, it beats opening and holding the tape measurer.

It was SO much better than messing with a tape. That's the best picture I've taken to date!

I'll  be sort of limited timewise this month to 4 or 5 days fishing.  Hopefully last month's curse has worn off  ... I'm in.

Shanksmare welcome, I did not forget about you. I have you down. You are #19. Welcome aboard. Some of us have limiting fishing too. We have to do the best that we can.

I have an ugly stick spinning and that is what my few cranks, top water hard baits and jerks get thrown on most of the time. Works great, not as sensative nearly as my Carbonlite but I have occasionally throw a wacky rig or trig with it and had no problems. I take it if i want to fish with the kids that way if it gets stepped on no worries. They have a new model out this year or something I hear some buzz.

Okay. Got rained out early, but managed to pull one out. Will go back later tonight. 14.5" inches. It was about 73 degrees and overcast around 9am. Used a boyah pad crasher jr (yellow/green/black). My frog set up if anyone is interested is a 7' MH BPS Bionic with a BPS Pro Qualifer reel using 30lb powerpro braid.

I just got home from an outing with my girl and son we went to the Town Center. I stopped by the lake that Black Creek Outfitters is on and wet my line for 30 mins. Caught 3 fish didn't bother with the tape measure though. My son is 16 months and when we ask him what sound a fish makes he smacks his lips. When I caught the fish his mother was like Adrian what's that and he smacks his lips to make the fish sound it was cute lol. He wouldn't touch them though lol eventually he will.

I was using a bass pro boss shad, I've been having pretty good luck with these things recently.

I'm going to go back out around 6 to an old spot I use to fish by my house and fish til dark. If I catch anything I will be sure to post

Good luck to everyone who goes out today and tomorrow.

Maybe next month. I just bought a new road bike so I'm going to be riding that a bit and school load is getting pretty tough toward the end of the semester.

Good luck ladies and gents.

I'm in this month. I can't fish much this month but I'm fishing Walk in Water and Toho so chances of a big one is pretty high.

We went out for a bit today and got a few good ones. Was slow though. Some small top water fish and some 3-4lbs salad fish. My girlfriend got her first flipped fish too. I didnt get a picture of my biggest one because I got mad when my 7-6 rod broke when I pulled it into the boat and stopped caring rest of the day, but got one 18.5" ill put up later.
