Super User whitwolf Posted October 30, 2013 Super User Posted October 30, 2013 It really depends on whether It's day or night. Here's a few though: Watermelon/red, black, red/shad, smoke,(with some kind of flake) white/shad, and black /red flake. Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 30, 2013 Super User Posted October 30, 2013 Watermelon red flake and june bug/ black with blue flake (senkos only though) Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted October 30, 2013 Super User Posted October 30, 2013 I like just about any color with "green pumpkin" in the name. 1 Quote
Mike2841 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I don't know the exact name but it's a neon green and yellow laminate senko Quote
Super User Marty Posted October 30, 2013 Super User Posted October 30, 2013 I used to carry two colors, black and pumpkinseed. But over the years I've seen what my partners do and I've tried other colors as well. My feeling is that watermelon, green pumpkin, junebug and numerous other colors work just as well. I could be 100% wrong, but I just don't have color at the top of my priority list. It's extremely important for others though. Like so many other things, go with what you have confidence in. Quote

Snakehead Whisperer Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I'm with whitwolf, it really depends on the situation. This year I have had a lot of confidence fishing Houdini colored plastics. Others would be black, smoke, watermelon, orange and chartreuse. Keep in mind that these are mostly colors of grubs that I jig fish for smallies, or ds worms. The most versatile soft plastic color that I've ever fished for LMB would be a tie between blue w/metallic fleck and red/motor oil/brown. These colors seem to produce under a vast array of conditions. Quote
MacP Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Zoom - Watermelon Red Flake, California 420, Green Pumpkin, Red Bug, Albino, June Bug - (Maybe Blueberry too) Roboworm - Aaron's Magic, Bold Bluegill, SXE Shad, Warmouth Reaction Innovations - Green Pumpkin, Penetration, Dirty Sanchez Senko - Watermelon, Green Pumpkin Blk Flake, MotorOil Red Flake I fish other brands and but not as much as these guys. (Culprit, Berkley Worms and Berkley and Big Bite Baits trailers, Yum dingers and crawbugs) I generally stick with green pumpkin, watermelon, june bug and black and blues. There are some I've had success with like green pumpkin blueflash and tequila sunrise type colors that work too. Motor Oil and Pumpkins and Cinammons are good colors too, I just don't use them much. TrippyJai Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 If I had to only choose only one colour, it would be Green Pumpkin. It works great in clear to stained water and if I fish dirtier water then I'll just choose a bait that puts off more vibration like a rage craw. For jigs, I wouldn't mind buying only black and blue.
