George DeHaven Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Prompton State Park here in NEPA. KVD 1.5 crankbait I'm still getting used to the difference between Large and Smallmouth bass. Around here, they can be very similar in size as I'm sure they are in most places. However, the fight to get it in and the amount of times it jumped out of the water, said smallie to me right away. Then I got it out of the water and it's definitely a brown color. I say Smallmouth. 1 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 30, 2013 Super User Posted October 30, 2013 It's a smallie. Congrats! 2 Quote
George DeHaven Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Sweet! Thanks for confirming! ...the fight in these little fish has been something I had only read about before. Only one other time before, I thought that I had a smallie on the line but it spit the hook after one jump. I've had Largemouths jump out of the water too so I couldn't bee 100% positive. My fishing addiction has just gotten worse. Smallies are so much more fun! 2 Quote
