FishingMastah1 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Anyone have experience with the Bass Pro Shots Brawler rod? Need a new rod and this one looks good because I can get it 6'6 2 pieces, medium power, and medium action, which fits what I fish very well. Is it a good rod? http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Brawler-Spinning-Rods/product/1209070506478/ Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted October 26, 2013 Super User Posted October 26, 2013 Good is subjective. It's a 1970's era Ugly Stick in terms of both technology and function. Not what my first choice would be, even in a $20 rod. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted October 26, 2013 Super User Posted October 26, 2013 The blank on that rod is mostly fiberglass. It's going to be pretty whippy, I imagine. It probably would be ok for casting small crankbaits and small spinnerbaits. It would make a good bobber and bait rod. Quote
LMB ANGLER Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I see that you want a extremely inexpensive rod, check this rod out is the same price but i think its better because this one has graphite. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Power-Plus-Graphite-Spinning-Rods/product/98364/ Quote
