Just wondering what you guys use to sharpen your hooks.  I have heard that the rapala hook sharpener sucks.  Any suggestions for me?

I don't sharpen hooks either. When they need attention, they need to be replaced.

the chemically sharpened hooks of today shouldnt need to be sharpened. if a hook gets dull replace it.

I have a Berkley hook sharpener, it stinks.

I have heard a lot of folks talking about their dull Chatterbait hooks and wonder what they do about it.  My chatterbaits have some pretty dull hooks, and I want to hone them.

Sharping hooks is a losed art and for good reason most hooks are sharp. I still touch up some baits.

Those yellow handle files in BPS are the best all the battery jobs suck.

Dispite what some of you filthy rich people say, hooks are to expensive to replace when they get dull. :) (atleast for me)

I got a hook hone for a few bucks, and it does wonders. In just a minute you can turn the dullest hook into a razor. Its great for baits like spinnerbaits where the hook can not be changed.

I may be out of the norm here but I never sharpen my hooks........If they get dull, I change em.......Simple as that. ;D

You can buy a hook stone or a diamond covered sharpener form BPS or Cabelas.  I like the diamond covered sharpener better.

I'd have to say I disagree, you dont need $200 poles,$300 reels and new hooks every time out to fish. Some are on a budget sharpening hooks will work just fine.

Get yourself one of these:

They will run you 5-6 bucks and will fit in your pocket like a pen. Run the point down the groove a few times and it is needle sharp.
