Sufix 832 Color?

I'm thinking about getting a spool for one of my BC jig rods. I see 5 colors are offered but I'm only looking at 3. Ghost, neon lime, or camo. Does anybody have any experience with this line? Which is easier to see?

Camo is the hardest to see of the three, and in low light and overcast days, really hard to find. Ghost is pretty good for visibility, and have never used the other. 832 is my favorite line!

the other two are moss green and high vis yellow. yellow is the easiest for me to see but i use braid for something else.

Yeah, the moss green I've used in other braids is hard to see in some conditions and I'm not a fan of yellow. Sounds like I'm down to Ghost or Lime Green. Also, what lb test? I fish a lot of trees (standing and laydowns) and rock. Almost zero grass.

i use the camo. i like it alot. it blends in well with the environment on the water. as far as self visibility goes, i dont mind, because remember this, if you can see it, the bass can see it even more and it will affect your catch ratios

Although I've just started using 832 myself I do find the Ghost very easy to see. I've only tried two colors, the aforementioned Ghost and the dark green. Since you don't like yellow then I'd suggest the Ghost. I'm sure the Lime Green would be very easy to see as well but maybe the Ghost would be a little less visible under water. The Ghost was more limp straight out of the box than the green color, though it only took one outing for the green to "break in" nicely. Both lines were 50# test.

 

I'd suggest going with 50# for fishing around all that wood, possibly even 65# if you think you can get away with it.

I like suffix. It is a good braid. Using it makes me happy. It is good to be happy. Camo makes me feel invisible. I like invisible. Bass like me invisible. They are afraid to see me.

Thanks for the responses. Not sure how this will go since I normally hate braid, but the 832 gets great reviews and it supposedly sinks a little better. Im going with 50lb in Ghost just on one rod. I'll let u know how it goes.

Just a follow up. I got my "Ghost" on Halloween, lol. Spooled up my jig rod and finally got out today. I can say this might be my new jig line. The white color is great for line watching but the last few feet is already "stained" by the water so it matches the water a little better, if that even matters. Very smooth, quiet, and strong. I fished the same jig for hours without re-tieing. Pitching to wood, dragging rocks, etc. Good stuff, it's already on my backup jig rod.

FWIW, count me among those who use a bright, highly visible braid. Though not Sufix, I like to be able to see my line. I do have some green braid on one reel, but it is just too darn hard for me to see in a lot of conditions.

 

With a leader always tied on, I don't worry about stealthy braid color. I need to see it. Don't feel my catch ratios have gone down since I switched to bright yellow braid + leader.

 I do, but I color the last few feet of line with a green or black sharpie.

If you are looking to make multiple casts to an area.. arent you afraid of scaring away fish with those loud colors?

In my experience the green on my Suffix wears off fairly quickly anyway into some sort of light rope color.. maybe it fades into ghost?

2. Treating braid with KVD L&L prolongs the fading process.

Thanks for the tip Ill look into it but I bet the color is mostly on the teflon coating and that rubs off easy.

I have no idea about teflon coating or whatever....treating my own line with the KVD prolongs the fading process GREATLY.  As in untreated line is faded in a day of fishing, and months old treated line is still holding much of it's color.

 

I don't make this stuff up, or repost something I read - I post these from my own experience to help you guys.  Sorry, that's not really directed right at you, just something funny I notice all the time. 

 

If you don't care about the fading, then don't bother with the treatment.  In some cases, I prefer worn in braid, especially with lighter baits.
