Hello,

So I have to stop my choice on fenwick aetos MH, I wonder about the action. I hesitate between the fast action, and extra fast as I would have wanted to have your opinion on the subject. I mainly fishing lure soft that it is often to scrape the bottom. So I wanted to know what you could tell me about the work of his rods.

I like a fast or extra fast action when fishing bottom contact lures, especially soft plastics. The fast action will make for better hook sets.

paulkuan - Arv's statement is right on.  However, line also is a factor.  If you use braid with a leader then XF isn't really going to have "better advantage" than a Fast Action.  I don't own a Fenwick Aetos MH/XF, but I own a Shimano Crucial with the same rating.  They both fish about the same and it was a favorite bottom contact rod until I bought other higher end rods.

Indeed it will be mostly used with braid and leader, so you're probably right I certainly do not win in sensitivity with an extra fast. Say that in my home, the pike are quite present and so it is difficult to do without a leader.
