CC268 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Hey guys, just got my Northstar jigs today and they are fricken amazing! I was just curious as to if you guys cut the weed guard at all? The weed guard is long but not stiff at all so I am thinking of just leaving them alone. Quote
mnbassman23 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Leave it. Like you said they are not overly stiff like some brands so having them a bit long is ok. Quote
Craiger12 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I fish mine straight out of the package. Just throw on your favorite trailer and you're good to go. Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted October 22, 2013 Super User Posted October 22, 2013 If you trim them shorter they get stiffer. Try cutting some strands from the base. I almost never mess with them. Quote
CC268 Posted October 23, 2013 Author Posted October 23, 2013 Awesome I will leave them alone then! Quote

I leave mine be. I will on occasion fan them out some but for the most part I leave them alone. Quote
