Price isn't an issue if it really is better! I just don't want to spend $30 a box for something that is just a little better than a $15-20 box. Thanks for the input guys. So now the question is Red Label, Tatsu, Sniper, or Super. Which of those four. I might buy them all and see which I like best. But thanks guys for making the decision to narrow it down 10x easier!!:)

Sunline manufactures their line as well.  Seaguar didn't "invent" fluorocarbon, they do make some decent lines and 1 really good one though.

seaguar didnt invent fluorocarbon lol, dude do your research before you speak and give false information. and can you show me where it says that sunline make their own fluorocarbon line?

Well if you are deciding between those 4, i'd choose tatsu. It's probably the best fluorocarbon i've used. the price range and quality of the 4 lines you listed is really across the board. red label is the cheapest, has decent but not great memory if you treat it with line conditioner. it has god awful abrasion resistance around rock and wouldn't consider using it in any sort of cover because of that. Sunline super is a really strong line but needs more line conditioner as well. It's abrasion resistance is better than red labels but still isn't top notch. it handles pretty good. FC sniper is a fantastic line. it has low memory and is really strong and very abrasion resistant. casts great, handles great. Tatsu is when you get in to the upper tier of fluorocarbons. it's abrasion resistance is just a little better than sniper from what i've found but it handles better, it's softer and the knot strength is great.

perhaps you should think before you speak. you literally just said "it's the inventor of fluorocarbons" a few posts up...

when i said the rolex and rolls royce of fluorocarbon line i referring to the seaguar brand, not the red label, if you dont like it them its just preference, but you cant say that its a bad line just because user error. like i said before, its the inventor of fluoro and its the only company that make there own fluoro line in their own factory. I look for only the best products out there, and only the best.

i was being sarcastic and repeating what he said, seaguar did invent fluorocarbon. you can look it up. i know my tackle.

Fluorocarbon is used in heavily in the electrical industry, in lithium ion batteries, in circuit boards and who knows where else.  Seaguar didn't invent it.

this does not state that seaguar flouro did not invent it. look i dont want any problems.. its all cool. my argument is finish.

There are a lot of people here with tons more experience than you and me combined.  You would be best served to try to learn something from those people instead of trying to be the teacher.

I currently use the BPS XPS which has been made by several companies over the past few years. The mfg of it before the current stock was so bad it was taken off the shelves (probably Berkley). The one before that one was the best.

The current stock is a little softer and not as strong as two generations ago.

Vanish is the worst fluorocarbon I have ever tried.

I'm not arguing your knowledge LMB but invizx was crap compared to Sniper. At least in my testing anyways. Seaguar had more memory then I cared for. I had 12# seaguar and 16# sniper and it was more supple. Without any line and lure cond.

For what it's worth, the following is what Seaguar has on its website. I think this is the source of some of the confusion.

"MYTH: All 100% fluorocarbons are created equal.

FACT: No. Just because the product says 100% fluorocarbon does not mean it is just like any other on the market. Only Seaguar makes fluorocarbon lines and leaders from beginning to end without any outside companies involved. The difference of quality varies from brand to brand."

Assuming the truthfulness of the claim, this doesn't say no one else manufactures their own line. For me to say anything else would be to go beyond my knowledge of the issue.

As to lines, I really like Tatsu. I haven't tried all the lines, but of the many I have tried I would put Tatsu as the best balance of manageability, abrasion resistance, and knot strength. It is probably not the most sensitive, but it is very sensitive in its own right.

I used every line on the market including tatsu and sunline sniper, and i had bad experience with them, the only fluoro line that never let me down is seaguar. just like the only braid that never let me down is suffix, just like the only gear brand that never let me down is daiwa, abu garcia and penn. im loyal to what treats me right. i can keep going on but you get the point.

Re-read your first sentence. Seaguar makes Tatsu as its flagship flourocarbon line. It is just one of many lines under the Seaguar brand. So by saying that Tatsu failed you are also saying that Seaguar failed you.

That's fine but stop claiming it's not the end all be all of fc line. It hasn't failed you, congrats but it's really not that great. The people have spoken on that part. I had better experiences with Berkley 100% fc and bps xps then invizx and P line both.
